AIBU?

to not be made to feel guilty about having ONE night away in three years?

My dh and I have been invited to a friend's wedding which is about 3 hours drive away. When we got the invite over the summer we asked my mum and dad if they would mind having the children (2.5 and 6yo) from 9am Saturday, overnight and then we will be back Sunday afternoon. They were fine about this. The wedding is this weekend and so far my dad has said 'jokingly' about 10 times about hoping the kids don't miss us too much or making comments like 'bet he's saving that up for the weekend' when my youngest is having a tantrum. I'm really grateful for them babysitting but am getting increasingly peed of with the remarks (even if they are done jokingly) and it's also starting to put worries in my head about them missing us etc. AIBU?

No, YANBU. Don't worry about it, go away & enjoy yourselves, ignore the comments.
