My neighbour used to stand on her front door step, chatting on the phone.
I never understood why.

How rude!

Perhaps you should start shagging on your patio and huff loudly about the peeping tom next door?

How did she know the neighbours were listening? I've got visions of Saltire dangling her hearing trumpet over the fence

My neighbour does this too but he runs his own business from home (although hear him discussing things not business related). I presume he does it to get a bit of peace and quiet from the kids, so as he can actually hear the phone convo.

It doesn't bother me, not sure how I would feel though if my bedroom wasn't at the front of the house.

Cheaky moo- neighbours eary wiggin again!!

I sometimes stand on my front step on the phone of an evening as I like a fag when I have a chat, and I dont smoke indoors - and my portable phone doesnt work in the back garden. I would never say that to my neighbour though!!

I think what you do on your side of the fence is YOUR choice, tough on her part!

I think her response says more about her than it does about you. She's a cow. No question.

so she is verbally abusive of you to people outside the situation. Have you kept a log of all the incidents? If tehre are enough, maybe she will be asked to move?
