They're just a few years out of date. It was quite cool for a while way back when.

Wasn't it?

And I haven't quite worked out what I should use instead. So when I come across it in old work stuff just change it all to Gill Sans.

I use it but only because it is a child-friendly font- would never use it for grown-up stuff though!

I use Comic Sans.

I am a primary teacher, though...

Am very fond on Snap ITC, too....

Oh god. I do that. Um Must be because I did everything in comic sans when I was teaching full time. Shit. Will stop now. What's a more grown up font? Do I have to do everything Times New Roman? Perhaps it would be easier to just buy some WTP pyjamas.

Ninks · 11/09/2009 22:18

YANBU! It is a fact of life that it is a font used by primary schools and people obsessed with soft toys.

Report
Feenie · 11/09/2009 22:18

In my defence, there aren't many fonts which do a proper lower case 'a' (< not like that one over there).

Winnie The Pooh takes it up the shitter? With honey for lube?

I hate Comic Sans ( I may have posted about this before). It makes my teeth hurt.

I hate it when adults use it.

I hate it when it's used for children's work or in schools.

I hate it when it's used on logos (how cheap does it make your business look?).

I really, really hate it.

So no, YA DEFINITELY NBU.

Ninks · 11/09/2009 22:19

Kemble, I think there may be a market for Comic Sans pyjamas!

Report
MollieO · 11/09/2009 22:21

I use Comic Sans and I don't where PJs so there . I don't have any soft toys either. What is wrong with it?

Report
Bleatblurt · 11/09/2009 22:21

Did you know that you can change your posts to Comic Sans on Bounty?

I think that explains it all now.

Depends on the context, surely, as to whether you are being entirely reasonable or merely a bit grouchy.

Find us another font which has a proper round 'a' for those children who have just learned to recognise it then, Umlellala, before you start dissing schools!

I remember it being my favourite font ever and writing all my essays in it... when I was 12/13!

Then my English teacher started to use it on worksheets and it irritated me to an irrational level so I stopped. (I didn't like her, because I had a massive crush on her, which was confusing, since I like men. Also she didn't believe me when I pointed out a huge mistake in a textbook.)
