..to wish I didn't have to give my kids back to their schools on Monday??

the last seven weeks we have had much fighting, Unreasonable Behaviour, too much telly/nintendo/girls go games, far too many haribos and CrackDonald's, very late nights (and mornings) and a good deal of effin and jeffin...

BUT

I really, really don't want to pack them back off to school tho. In fact at regular intervals today I kept having to run up to the bathroom for a secret cry. I swear I feel worse about going back than they do but it's been so much fuuuuuuuuuuuun

I should just get a fecking grip, shouldn't I?

I feel just like you. Have 3 fighting girls, but they seem to spread it out throughout the day in holidays .now they just save it all for before and after school, which seems more intense.I miss them all being at home even though my eldest got tonsillitus on first day back and hasn't been back yet. When they start back it all just seems so serious sometimes,as not so much time to chill with them,as too busy with routine.Plus I have so much more more washing during term time and have to put up with immaculately dressed children of other parents, when during holidays we look as if we r on a permanent camping holiday, scruffy hair stains on clothes and don't care, because we have so much fun.

i LOVE school hols....your not alone! i hate the routine when they are back to school. i love late nights and lie ins, i love not worrying about what they wear or if the washing is done in time for monday....and i actually like having my kids about! i never understood people who say " thank god they are back next week" cos i hate it!

Why don't you home educate them? It's great fun

God, I think about it at the end of every holiday, FlamingoBingo- but think it would prob be more for my benefit than theirs because at the moment they're all quite ok to be going back- no tears, anyway!(well, not from them!)

oh I feel the same we have had a fab time, they have enjoyed chilling and playing I don't want to let them go back either.

I have been sad all evening thinking about it (and I had intended to take them for a banana split today and we didn't get to go for a heap of rubbishy reasons )

Your summer holiday sounds exactly like mine, precious. And I'm not looking forward to next week either - particularly as my four-and-a-half-year-old baby will be starting reception on Friday My life as a full-time SAHM has officially come to an end. Bah. I've bloody loved it.

I am torn.

Mostly it is LOVELY with them, but the odd day has had me muttering "Roll on September!"

(Ususally coincides with Shoe Buying)

Loads of fighting, squabbling, bickering (with me included!) plus the weekly food bill has tripled (or thereabouts!) for the last 5 weeks or so, but....

...We have had loads of fun

Weather has been crap but company has been great! Just me and mine. Priceless.

I sooo do not wish to get back to normality
