Hello
School starts back tomorrow, and my DD has been ill with temp, aches and pains etc. She now has a v. obvious rash. She is now feeling better with no temp, only symptom is the rash. Took her to the docs this morning, he said as far as he is concerned she is not contagious and he is happy for her to go to school. But, the rash is really obvious, and I imagine school may well not be too happy. So I am thinking of keeping her off till end of week. AIBU??

i would keep her off till the rash goes.
send her on monday.
although, she might miss out on peg allocations etc, so it might be worth contacting the teacher to talk about it.

If Dr says not contagious and she feels fine, she should be at school. She'll miss out on all the first day back catch up, new timetables etc otherwise and it'll be harder for her.

Talk to the school and see what they say.

Go in with her and tell the teacher(s) that the doctor says it's not contagious. The first day back is important.

Tricky one. If DD feels fine and doctors confitms that it is not contagious I would take her.

If she is not well in herself I would wait a couple of days.

It happenend last year that DS3 had to miss the first week of Reception because he was contagious and his first 1 1/2 month in school have been a nightmare as he found very hard to gel with the rest of the class that had one extra week to know each other.

If it is not your DD's first year in school it might be less of a problem for her to miss a couple of days? How old is she?
