AIBU?

to have shaken DH's beer bottles when I was pissed off with him?

We had words last weekend, he was an arse and did that annoying storming off thing that really winds me up.
I was ironing and the nearest thing to hand was the beer fridge. So I took 2 out at a time and shook them really hard and then put them back. I did another 2, and felt a bit calmer.
Didn't think anything of it, until last night when we were watching TV and he opened a bottle of beer and it exploded all over the floor.
I was impressed that they were still so fizzy.
He wasn't impressed when the next 3 did the same.
I really was lmao inside but had to feign ignorance.
especially when he said "It's like someone has been shaking them"
He put it down to the fact that they were on their side.
It was bloody funny though.
Unreasonable of me?

lol

I used to do little subversive things like that all the time to my Ex. Kept me amused for years. But then I'm just evil

We have a new carpet in the sitting room so beer all over the floor would affect me as much as husband, plus it's our beer not his beer. Sounds a silly thing to do in your own house, very passive aggressive.

Who cleared up the mess?

silly but very satisfying and very funny
I had to wait until he went to the toilet to really laugh
I don't drink beer.
We have no carpet in the kitchen, it is all tiled and laminate in the lounge
He said "I've mopped more up than I've drunk"

We have a new rule, no drinking during the week.
Partly to save our livers and partly to save some money.
I just buy more expensive wine at the weekend.

I have done that before to my DHs cider, when I was pregnant and REALLY cross with him over something...I too feigned ignorance..when it fizzed all over him
It IS naughty though..!!

I have just remembered, I didn't iron his clothes either. I just folded them up as if I had. He'll never notice

hmm also i didnt know that if you shook a bottle of beer it stays fizzy for that long!?

good to know for future referance!

I didn't expect it to still be fizzy either.
When the first one fizzed, I was surprised and felt a little pang of guilt. But it didn't last too long.

I was on the computer, sorting out his prescription certificate and apparently, I sighed. It was because I couldn't remember the account number and sort code, not because I didn't want to do it (which is what he assumed)
He got all huffy and threw the cheque book and flounced out.
So I didn't do it. then he shouted at me, I shouted back, he flounced out (again).
Then I shook the beer.

your dh should come stay in our house for a week , he would soon learn not to be so touchy sensitive

When's convenient for you, elmofan?
I can pack a bag in 30 mins.
