I haven't actually done it

but how wrong would it be?

we are all grumpy and stressed and out of sorts

MIAonline Fri 28-Aug-09 18:35:02

Just put gin in yours and you won't need any in the family jug

FlamingoBingo Fri 28-Aug-09 18:35:03

Not wrong at all - would anyone object to it?

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob Fri 28-Aug-09 18:35:46

well the kids are only 5 and nearly 7 so they wouldn't know any difference

but is it "drugging" them?

MrsBadger Fri 28-Aug-09 18:36:33

not wrong at all but do nto tell them

let us know wht happens

am interested in blinded study grin

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob Fri 28-Aug-09 18:37:10

well it's that or arsenic

they are driving me round the twist

shootfromthehip Fri 28-Aug-09 18:39:04

That's a hysterical idea- let me know if it works and I'll pop to the chemist in the morning wink

Thunderduck Fri 28-Aug-09 18:41:20

Drugging them? It's just water and brandy, so you'd be giving them some alcohol but not very much.

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob Fri 28-Aug-09 18:42:34

it is NOT just water and brandy

it contains Other Things [defensive]

Thunderduck Fri 28-Aug-09 18:43:03

It's homeopathic. It is just water and brandy.

SpawnChorus Fri 28-Aug-09 18:52:05

What, like "magic"

SpawnChorus Fri 28-Aug-09 18:53:05

Seriously though, go for it. Definitely not classed as drugging, and if it works then hurrah!

SpawnChorus Fri 28-Aug-09 18:55:26

And if it doesn't work, you can move on to Medised like a normal person.

Thunderduck Fri 28-Aug-09 18:56:13

I could probably extract more clematis from a gnat than I could from a bottle of Rescue Remedy.

RedLentil Fri 28-Aug-09 18:58:41

My friend, in a moment of desperation, tried it on her dog.

He bumped the bottle as she was adding a few drops ...

He was one seriously chilled pooch. grin

Grandhighpoohba Fri 28-Aug-09 19:36:50

Would be cheaper to add 5 drops of vodka and say a little spell... Will have the same effect grin

Morloth Fri 28-Aug-09 19:52:02

Certainly tastes like brandy. Just pour yourself a stiff brandy and put them all to bed.

bigchris Fri 28-Aug-09 19:53:35

it doesn't work anyway
it's all in yer head that it works grin
it's a marketing con

sherby Fri 28-Aug-09 19:59:37

stick that in ya pipe and smoke it

Thunderduck Fri 28-Aug-09 20:07:25

Source of that information.Rescue Remedy. That says it all.

littlerach Fri 28-Aug-09 20:10:08

My HV suggested we give it ot dd2 when she was about 18 months, at bed time.

It was when holding in her in an almost head lock in order to get her to take it that I realsied the irony grin

Tidey Fri 28-Aug-09 20:13:20

It has the memory of some herbs in it.

Thunderduck Fri 28-Aug-09 20:14:01

LMAO@memory of herbs.grin

sherby Fri 28-Aug-09 20:14:10

lol you do realise about 10 people are going to jump on you now for saying that grin

raindroprhyme Fri 28-Aug-09 20:14:40

we love rescue remedy in this house from babes in arms to dog to granny.

i have the spray bottle so it is easier to administer. if the dog sees someone getting any he comes over and sits down and gives paw.
