I tried to leave a comment saying that she was hardly fat, and even if she were, she's not a model and not being paid to be thin nor did she ever claim to be thin or promise to GET thin.......

but I think I've been deleted from their files. I left a comment on the article about Ricky Martin's having two children without a mum, saying that if it were the other way round the DM would give the mother a lash for being selfish.

well yes, clearly the OP reads the DM avidly, daily.

It's very good at what it does. It's very well put together. And the online version is great, because you can pretend to be a po-faced DM hating right-on Independent reader, while still avidly looking at the DM online (doesn't count, because it's free).

The thing to do is to take some of DM actual headlines rather than make them up - sometimes the truth is stranger (and far more terrifying) than the fiction!!

The 'blood' that DM has running thru its veins is the worship of manna that sustains the new middle classes, and the thing that keeps them afloat is house prices.... anything that can affect the price of a home or the value of a neighbourhood and be printed on the front page will sell, hence the bollocks that pass for headlines!!

And so it goes on - the whole thing sucks. The nouveau riche will kick up merry hell if they think the chavs are descending on their enclaves and the chavs will follow cheap housing.

Obviously the only thing more terrifying to the average DM reader (reader?) is your johnny foreigner, especially one of those non swarthy European sorts - it's the end of the world as we know it!!
