in thinking that MNHQ is wrong to blank / delete threads that question the decision to let the DM print posts?

I expect this thread will get removed to - stop treating your posters as idiots and stiffling debate

RustyBear Sat 15-Aug-09 21:59:58

There was no 'decision to let the DM print posts', as you'd know if you bothered to read the threads that are constantly in active convos....

WetAugust Sat 15-Aug-09 22:01:36

That's the point - everytime I try to look I get a blank screen. Plus all teh other threads that mention the DM seem to be closed.
Even the discussion of the day takes me to a blank screen

pinkteddy Sat 15-Aug-09 22:02:41

I think its that they have deleted the posts that will identify the journalist who is also a mumsnetter.

suwoo Sat 15-Aug-09 22:02:46

Its working for me.

YanknCock Sat 15-Aug-09 22:04:12

Working fine for me, are you sure it's not just you having a problem?

WetAugust Sat 15-Aug-09 22:04:38

OK - then I IABU - but it's a strange coincidence that evrything thread I try to look at re the DM gives me a blank screen <puzzled>

TotalChaos Sat 15-Aug-09 22:05:21

it's normal for any thread on here to be closed once it reaches circa 1000 posts. and the links are working fine for me.

Greensleeves Sat 15-Aug-09 22:05:30

I've just seen you post on the sn thread that you couldn't see anything when you clicked on the TTR link WetAugust - that link worked fine for me

perhaps there is a problem at your end?

StayFrostyDMisaVileRag Sat 15-Aug-09 22:05:30

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Jaquelinehyde Sat 15-Aug-09 22:06:36

It's obviously just you WetAugust, because everyone else is fine grin

scottishmummy Sat 15-Aug-09 22:07:04

me thinkey your pc is fucked and you are conspiracy theorist to boot

KingCanuteIAmAndTheDMCanFOff Sat 15-Aug-09 22:07:09

Discussion of the day thread is over 1000 posts, HQ have not had time to change it to the new thread yet - I am guessing they are quit busy at the moment hmm

There is a new thread - part 3 but everyone has run out of steam now hough!

DailyMailIsFarFromPerfect Sat 15-Aug-09 22:07:32

It is because the OP has along name and the box won't fit alongside the top of the day etc.

If you scroll down far enough you will find the thread in full. No conspiracy.

beanieb Sat 15-Aug-09 22:08:16

what's happened? Is a regular mumsnetter also a Daily Mail Journalist?

Goblinchild Sat 15-Aug-09 22:09:28

I've still got all three threads and all the little extra ones.
MI5 have caught up with you at last. Was only a matter of time. Get out whilst you can. grin

2shoes Sat 15-Aug-09 22:09:58

yanbu imo, I cannot understand why this person is be given special treatment

DailyMailIsFarFromPerfect Sat 15-Aug-09 22:10:56

It is part of the blue box problem (which is to do with posters having names too long to fit on the screen.

scottishmummy Sat 15-Aug-09 22:14:44

the shouting adds to the overall histrionics and threats of righty i'm offsky now mob

DailyMailIsFarFromPerfect Sat 15-Aug-09 22:16:51

No scroll down the so called "blank threads". It is all there. The OP just has to sit below all of the ad's and stuff on the right so ends up half way down the page.

It is because the OP's names all happen to be too long to fit next to teh ads.

KingCanuteIAmAndTheDMCanFOff Sat 15-Aug-09 22:21:22

It is stealths fault, her current name is not stealthy and she keps starting the threads grin

Although, to be fair SM it is WetAugust he is being a bit hysterical here!

scottishmummy Sat 15-Aug-09 22:24:19

some MN have worked themselves into a histrionic state with much shroud waving and proclamation of doom
