wilkos Wed 12-Aug-09 22:51:38

they will tell you to cock off and have a good laugh about your dh as well i should think. rather like i am grin

devils punchbowl is hardly the masai mara though is it? surely he could find his way?

TiggerIsEisCat Wed 12-Aug-09 22:51:58

oh dearsmile yes he does sound slightly knobbishsmile i agree with rasputin that he should sit it out til dawn and get back home sharpishsmile

ARRRGGGHHHHHHH I feel for you. DHs should all be sent to a far away land, the Isle of Wight or something, where they can wander around being fuckwits and bumping into things.

YANBU at all.

But take comfort in the fact that you are not alone.

Has he got work in the morning? He will be one tired grumpy man me thinks

would you like to borrow my dog?

not to find him but to growl and whimper and make spooky noises around the car!

What an idiot. Leave him there, do you actually need him for anything?

Make sure you bring it up in conversation lots to embarrass him.

BigGobMum Wed 12-Aug-09 23:05:05

Oh dear; Im sure he will be ok but hope he finds his way home soon. Just what is it about men and meteor showers? Dh has just settled down for the night in the garden on a recliner, complete with duvet!

TrillianAstra Wed 12-Aug-09 23:07:01

The thi about 'big meteor showers' is that they claim there is a big one if there are 'dozens' of meteors and hour. One dozen = one every 5 minutes, and you might not even be looking in the right direction. It's not that exciting.

Ohh, that so sounds like something my DH would do!!! Only he'd forget his phone for good measure1
Leave him too it, enjoy a night of whole comfy double bed to yourself. Oh, and maybe get him a sat nav for Christmas!
At least he will get a good view of the meteors in the dark!!!

SolidGoldBrass Wed 12-Aug-09 23:12:35

PMSL. Phone him back and tell him ghost stories till he cacks his pants.

Be a great story for the grandkids though! I can see how you can get lost in the DPB but they do make it hard, it's only people like me who can normally achieve it

surreylady Wed 12-Aug-09 23:28:10

If he climbed over a fence perhaps he was parked in someones garden - will look out for the mumsnet post tomorrow about strange car in the potato plot

ROFL @ Ray Mears.

Up until he got lost he was probably feeling all manly for being off road rather than just in the carpark above Hindhead like a sensible person would have been.

shock at wanting you to take the day off - he'll just have to get another taxi back again surely?
