AIBU?

to think that rich people are disgraceful? PART 1

I'm thinking about actual people I know....

They live in a big house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I think their dcs should share so that homeless people can be housed in the extra space.

They have 2 cars - this is obviously bad for the environment and what's wrong with public transport (in my country everyone uses PT).

My friend buys Dolce and Gabbana handbags and Hello magazine. I think she could do perfectly well with a Tesco Bag for Life and Take a Break - the brazen hussy!

Her fridge is filled with Waitrose ready meals and Chardonnay. Her poor children are deprived of home cooked food! I bet they are SOOO relieved when they get back to boarding school.

I get so cross with her when she doesn't take up my suggestion to turn 1 of her several acres of land into an organic vegetable patch instead of installing a swimming pool.

I just don't get how people make such bad choices!

That is a disgrace! They should give some of it to me - I'm poor

How do you define 'rich'? We are all rich in comparison with some countries, our children are all able to go to school (for free), we have free healthcare, we as a country are bloody lucky.

Crucially, though - does your friend cut up her own fruit?

In my country they pay YOU to send your kids to school.

Well sort of - it her own fruit! She has an orchard. But the cook cuts it up.

Well, that's ok then. As long as she's not buying it pre-cut, that's fine by me...

part 1.

heehee

Seriously though. I wish people could get on with their own lives instead of looking to the left and right and never being happy because this person has more, or that person should have less because they're not working/working hard/working as hard as you but they have a flatscreen tv and a better car...

It's very boring. If people focused more on their own lives and less on other people's, we'd all be better for it.

Your friends should be wary of filling their fridges with Chardonnay (ABC) when the shelves would be better employed housing packaged asparagus stems, plastic-wrapped out-of-season sugar snap peas, Nice Ham, Daytime Wine, pre-cut fruit, and other delicacies the lower orders should never be exposed to, as it gives them "aspirations"

well why the hell should they be able to do this? I mean honestly, we should all be spending our money by our "friends" standards! [shocking] how dare they give their children their own rooms.
