For not wanting the ex to "Look after the house" whilst we're away?

We're considering a two week holiday but we need someone to take care of our pets.

DP suggested his ex hmm

This would mean giving her a key and having her nosying in the house whilst we're away. We know full well she would nosy as last time she was here, she was caught rummaging through my art cupboard critising my paintings!

If I was to suggest MY ex look after the house, DP would have a fit!

AIBU to say no to this?

Make other arrangements and then tell him there's no need for his ex to help out, but to thank her for offering.

Huh? Why are you on here asking advice? Id be at home, kicking his arse into touch. No way.

what a strange thing to ask, when this bloke is clearly lying to you (re. your other thread)

in case my answer is not clear, no fucking way

Only in the Twilight Zone would saying no to this idea be considered unreasonable. No, YANBU.
