I'm not ever so regular but I try to post when I can.. I've have asked a few qestions lately, but I've either had no responses or only one sad I'm ever so nice really. Am I being U or just uber sensitive?

HeadFairy Mon 20-Jul-09 17:38:24

Aw... link to one of your threads... I'll try and answer

shootfromthehip Mon 20-Jul-09 17:38:39

I have this problem too- I come up with something really witty (I think) or I'm really down about something and then nada. It sucks- YANBU

poopscoop Mon 20-Jul-09 17:39:42

links please to both of you and i will see what i can do smile

coolma Mon 20-Jul-09 17:40:25

Ooh, I can't do that link thing - far too 'modern', but i put one in behaviour about my insane 3 year old and how awful she is at the moment..

HecatesTwopenceworth Mon 20-Jul-09 17:41:42

it's nothing personal, I promise. It's just sometimes the board moves so fast that threads go off active convos between one refresh and the next!

lynniep Mon 20-Jul-09 17:41:58

well you're getting some replies now

is it your timing? 'commuting time' threads get missed often (this is prime example - but I work from home and DH is picking up DS from nursery today), as do v. early and v. late. In fact the most popular ones obviously get seen around lunchtime and after kids bedtimes!!

juneybertiebottsbean Mon 20-Jul-09 17:43:31

Definitely nothing personal, I think the forum sometimes moves so fast, some threads get missed.

Don't take it to heart

HeadFairy Mon 20-Jul-09 17:44:17

I can't see one in behaviour from you coolma... just the 14 mo twins (on which I can't offer any sensible advice)

HeadFairy Mon 20-Jul-09 17:45:28

This is definitely not a good time posting wise, I think those that work are on their way home (lucky buggers), those that don't work are doing tea/bath/bed/arsenic hour... I'm at work until 9pm tonight and it gets very quiet around now.

HecatesTwopenceworth Mon 20-Jul-09 17:47:21

this

is your behaviour thread

to link, all you do is copy the bit at the top that begins http:// , just right click, it will all highlight and a menu will come up, click copy. Then go to thread, type [[ then, with no space click paste and the http: etc etc comes up. Then leave one space and type something, like "here" or whatever, then type ]] (no space) and hey presto. A link.

Give it a try!

FabBakerGirlIsBack Mon 20-Jul-09 17:49:28

I have been here aaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggges and quite often I get no replies or very few. I sulk a bit try not to let it bother me as MN moves very quickly sometimes.

Bump your own threads if necessary.

coolma Mon 20-Jul-09 17:51:09

oh, I feel better already smile will try to be more active too. Thank you!

HeadFairy Mon 20-Jul-09 17:55:10

Hmmm I'd love to reply to your thread about your dd3, but I'm just no good at those things. DS is only 22 months so I've no experience.

I can recommend some shameless bumping, sometimes it works.

shootfromthehip Mon 20-Jul-09 18:05:49

See shameless bumping is the more dignified approach- I tend to go for the slightly less dignified and more moronic approach of trying to be funny. You then get the nice sould who replies (obviously feeling a bit sorry for you) which I then grasp like a dog with a bone and embarrass myself further by asking some kind of question so that they feel guilty enough to reply to. So I end up with a 7 post thread and a deflated ego.

I swear you lot can smell my desparation wink

Oops blush went to fix a typo and got a double post.

ReneRusso Mon 20-Jul-09 18:10:15

I just replied on your behaviour thread. Its really nothing personal I'm sure just a matter of luck, I'm usually drawn to Chat or AIBU above anything else.

katiestar Mon 20-Jul-09 18:22:32

I thought I was the thread-killer !

HeadFairy Mon 20-Jul-09 19:41:20

katiestar, I've resisted sooo long but I couldn't let you kill this one after your last post

mamalove2 Mon 20-Jul-09 20:09:33

oh thats a shame you feel like that their is nothing worse..... to be honest i cant find my way about this site at all, i posted a question about a week ago and cant find it to check if i have any answers, lol bet i look right ignorant.

Thunderduck Mon 20-Jul-09 20:11:10

Was this your question?

TheProvincialLady Mon 20-Jul-09 20:16:31

Shootfromthehip I like your style as it is identical to mine.

OP, it is because you are boring and smelly and your mum wears funny clothessmile

TheProvincialLady Mon 20-Jul-09 20:23:21

What, 5 minutes since I posted and you still haven't replied? <taps fingers>

That's it, I'm ignoring you forever.

Do you feel more popular now?
