and think it's a right of passage that all children should go through? wink

My dh still does it.

I still do it. But only in the privacy of my own home. grin

I would tell her off - I think it is a pretty disgusting thing to do. hmm

if at home is fine

As long as she knows not to do it at school or in a restaurant, what does it matter!

I've got a fussy eater so I don't care if he's shovelling it in with his feet, as long as it's going down wink

Depends how old she is and whether she knows that it's not generally a habit that she should employ.

I know a grown man who does it and it makes me cringe.

Niecie Wed 15-Jul-09 18:42:58

I used to do it - only when we had chips and I wanted to lick the salt and vinegar.blush

I don't do it now and I don't remember my mother really telling me not to.

I think so long as they don't do it in public, and I never did, who cares!?

I would think that maybe I hadn't fed her enough!

Morloth Wed 15-Jul-09 18:45:08

Depends, I will still lick my plate if the food is really really good and only DS & DH about.

Take it as a compliment, I do.

I agree with Madame.
Dogs lick their plates, people shouldn't.

My dh drinks from his bowl, as does his father, and my girls have started doing it too hmm

I hate it, and think it is really rude. If I catch them doing it, they get a telling off. I would think the same about licking the plate.
