Just seen in paper that the killer of ~Jason Swift is out and living in our town. He is pictured sitting near my son's dance school where lots of young boys come and go unaccompanied.

I want to show the staff and parents in there his picture, Will i get into trouble if I do?

Having said that, not sure if I care really, it's scared me.

Maybe more of a what would you do?

TIa

if it has been in the newspaper then clearly it is pub;lic knowledge so no you wouldn't get into trouble.

I dont think you would be wrong to make the other parents aware so that they could be more vigilant.

but i would hope that they would not take anything further than just making extra efforts to drop off and collect their children to ensure safety.

Well that's all I'm gonna do, hadn't really thought about the vigilanties to be honest.

I tell you one thing, if a child killer was hanging around my sons football club I'd want to know about it.

If you have seen it in the paper then surely other people will have as well? It will become common knowledge and he will have to be moved to somewhere else before he gets beaten or killed?

Well as long as they get the right person I wouldn't give a shit. It's a child killer.

how about just mentioning that hes been seen sitting near the school rather than showing the pic. i know if someone mentioned to me that a paedophile was near my dcs id take extra special care without having to see a pic. and if they do want to know what he looks like then they can get the paper themselves or search online/library.

That's a point he will be moved now he's been found out they couldn't let him get a taste of his own obviously

that is terrible it was in your local paper - both his name and his photo! awful.
I have three kids and am aware of the possibiltiy of known and unknown sex offenders being all over the place, so I try to act accordingly always, not just when there is some rabble rousing article in the local rag...i think paedophiles have rights too, the right to live and to be and to work and to exist without everyone constantly shrieking at them in the street. I also think that if we took care of these people - who lets face it have a life ruining problem, both for them and for their victims - recognised their condition as medical, rather than criminal, treated them with chemical castration, counselling etc, and allowed them to exist freely, without the risk of being 'outed' we have more chance of authorities keeping tabs on them and being able to monitor their behaviour and ensuring they don't ensnare any children. Articles in the local paper are really not, in my view, the way forward on this issue at all.

Yeah he was moved on on Saturday when a security gaurd noticed he was just hanging around, (in his words, looking shifty).

I've shown both my eldest dc's the pic and will be dropping off and picking up from now on, I like to think i'm quite street wise, but these men killed boys, you don't get better from that do you?

I would put the article on the noticeboard of the dance school.

I don't like vigilantes and yes, everyone has a right to a free life, but this man and his friends were particularly evil and I'm shocked he's been released. There is no treatment for paedophiles, no cure. He'll still have those urges, it's whether or not he can control them that's the issue. I wouldn't want to take the risk and I would feel obliged to let parents of local young boys know, so they can take extra steps to ensure their boys safety.

there must be somewhere more official to give the information?
police for a start, rather than panic other parents.

The peadophile who took the toddler out of the bath apparently warned the authorities he couldn't control himself anymore, and what did they do? Feck all, that's what, because he hadn't commited an actual crime yet.

of course you should let others know. This man has never shown remorse for any of his actions. He is a monster.

Who do you mean? Sidney Cooke was charged with this murder. He's had a stroke and is still in prison as far as I know from my Paedophiles Top Trump cards. He will not be released. He had two accomplices - they are both dead. One was killed in prison and one died from AIDS.

So who was the chap that was allegedly seen?

if he has been seen outside the dance school the chances are he is violating his parole and so can be picked up by police staright away.

in most cases they are released with certain conditions, typically that they are not to frequent anywhere that is known to contain children.

I should imagine if he's alread been in the paper then he's already been moved on (presuming it is actually him)
