is asking to be thought a loon.

They match the colour of her shoes. Which somehow makes it worse.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight Tue 07-Jul-09 15:04:48

does she have different coloured flowers for different shoes?

TrinityRhino Tue 07-Jul-09 15:04:55

maybe she just likes the look

DrunkenDaisy Tue 07-Jul-09 15:05:22

don't be mean. i think she sounds lovely (although not my taste).

Lulumama Tue 07-Jul-09 15:07:19

think that sounds lovely.

good for her

nothing wrong with being a bit non conformist

TrinityRhino Tue 07-Jul-09 15:08:46

I'd rather be a penguin than a sheep

crazylizzy Tue 07-Jul-09 15:09:29

Maybe she's from Hawaii and feels homesick? She sounds fab BTW wink

madwomanintheattic Tue 07-Jul-09 15:09:36

ohhhhhhh, i want to be her.

i have some in my top drawer and often think about it. i have long curly dark scruffy hair and i wish i had the confidence to go all hippy and boho, rather than achieve the 'haggard mrs ordinary' that comes naturally...

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:09:43

Oh she doesn't look like a penguin trinity. She looks more like a shrubbery grin

madwomanintheattic Tue 07-Jul-09 15:09:57

<no matching shoes though......>

modrin Tue 07-Jul-09 15:10:36

i think she sound lovely and interesting i would be very drawn to her

TrinityRhino Tue 07-Jul-09 15:10:51

and maybe she doesn;t care if you think she is a loon

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:11:01

She's not boho those, that is the weird thing. She wears tight tight jeans and smart skirts. And v high heels.

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:11:28

I am quite quite sure she doesn't care.

Swedes Tue 07-Jul-09 15:11:38

Does she look a bit wide-eyed?

Thunderduck Tue 07-Jul-09 15:15:28

I'm with Trinity on this one.

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:17:25

Indeed swedes. How did you guess?

MadameDefarge Tue 07-Jul-09 15:17:29

Blimey, what happened to the right to self-expression? Is there some dress code you feel we all should adhere to?

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:18:32

Bugger me no grin

But I do find flowers in the hair or a grown woman a bit odd. I am clearly alone in this.

TrinityRhino Tue 07-Jul-09 15:18:48

thats what gets me defarge

it does semm like there a way to dress and everything else is wrong

you would think I was off my fucking rocker rather than just a loon if you saw me grin

MadameDefarge Tue 07-Jul-09 15:18:49

It's one of the things that I love about living in Britain, you can wear what you many other countries are really rigid in their conception of the right thing to wear

<<remembers years in Paris with a shudder>>

English Eccentricity. A national trait to be treasured, Trinity.

OrmIrian Tue 07-Jul-09 15:20:18

How have I gone from thinking silk flowers look odd to be some sort of clothing Nazi? <bemused>

And I still think it looks odd. So there.

moondog Tue 07-Jul-09 15:20:49

She sounds great.

It beats the fleece, cropped cargo trousers and crocs combo.
