to keep the money?

On Sunday morning, my dh wanted a bit of nookie but I really, really didn't fancy any. Anyway, he kept pestering me and then finally said he only needed 10 minutes and if he was any longer, I could take the £100 cash he had in his wallet and spend it any way I liked! Well, I thought OK ? 10 mins for £100 ? not to be sniffed at. So I agreed & let him get on with it. I kept an eye on the clock, of course, to make sure he got to the 10 minute mark. After he'd done, I smiled lovingly at him and took the £100 but he said I shouldn't take the money as he could have easily finished after 5 minutes and kept it going for longer because he thought I wanted to come! I said that wasn't what we agreed etc. etc.

Please be aware this is a one-off situation - but what do you think - should I keep the money?

shock

I don't think you should keep the money, but I think the whole situation of it appearing your DH is paying for sex doesn't sound great.

This has been done before

TheProfiteroleThief Tue 07-Jul-09 10:56:28

Why would you not use 'family' money?

Or are you dabbling in amateur hooking?

LovelyRitaMeterMaid Tue 07-Jul-09 10:58:00

Bother, have I been taken in?

Knew I should be doing housework rather than Mumsnetting.

£100 shock thats cheap grin

TheProfiteroleThief Tue 07-Jul-09 11:05:06

If you do proceed, I suspect you need ot be careful not to price yourself out of the market!

SerendipitousHarlot Tue 07-Jul-09 11:06:32

What did you have to do for the money?

*draws up price list for dh*

LazyWoman Tue 07-Jul-09 11:07:12

Profiterole - all our money is shared so technically half of the money is mine anyway.

We rarely have that much cash to hand - dh was obviously feeling a bit flush!

Definitely not dabbling in amateur hooking

LazyWoman Tue 07-Jul-09 11:10:34

Lovely - DH doesn't have to pay for sex (no way would he do that - he's far too fastidious). Anyway, he normally gets enough at home. My contention was that he shouldn't offer something and then renege on the deal. He could have waited for nookie for another time, or taken himself in hand

LazyWoman Tue 07-Jul-09 11:12:51

Goober - you're being very harsh on me

I'm normally very accommodating, even if I'm not in the mood - this was a one-off!

TheProfiteroleThief Tue 07-Jul-09 11:15:34

If you give him back £50 - then you are paying him too grin

Goober Tue 07-Jul-09 11:17:25

No, he shouldn't have offered the money BUT you shouldn't accept it, only being "harsh" as surely this is all a wind up and you are not serious.

LazyWoman Tue 07-Jul-09 11:47:26

I'm afraid it's true! DH was not his normal sensible self at the time and I just thought OK I'll never get any peace anyway so I may as well take up the offer

MadameCastafiore Tue 07-Jul-09 11:51:00

God - why are you guys so serious - they are consenting adults - DH would get the time of his life if I could get him to agree to paying me! wink

So I would take the money and spend it on shoes!

idranktheteaatwork Tue 07-Jul-09 11:51:05

YABVU. I got a new fridge freezer for my efforts.

<seeker draws skirts fastidiously away from situation and thanks her lucky stars for a relationship where she can say she's not in the mood for sex without being pestered or offered money>

Goober Tue 07-Jul-09 11:54:44

They aren't going to be great shoes for £100 are they?

MadameCastafiore Tue 07-Jul-09 12:00:44

Well yes - LK Bennett has a sale on at the moment and you can get some rather nice shoes for under £100 there or Boden have quite a few nice ones - added 2 pairs to my collection for less than £100 last week actually.

LazyWoman Tue 07-Jul-09 12:09:06

Madame & Tea.. at last - someone who can see the lighter side of all this!

I'm far too sensible, however, to spend it on shoes - & I'd have to do it a few times at this rate to be able to afford a new fridge freezer.. Mmm
