AIBU?

AIBU to think that BFing is not 'the *most* natural thing in the world'?

Natural and good, yes.

The most natural thing in the world? I think not.

May I suggest that pooing is in fact the most natural thing in the world?

Evidence:
everyone poos, not everyone BFs
pooing is easier than BFing, no-one needs to be taught to poo
we poo for more of our lives than we BF
more animals poo than BF

---

(am pro BFing, but anti twee statements)

Stuffing food in my gob, sleeping, shagging - more natural than bf-ing to me

In the context of feeding a baby it is. Actually the most natural thing must be breathing as you could not crap if you did not breathe.

Thats what breasts are for innit

I used to be able to squirt my breast milk across the room, aim for the eyes

Breathing is a bit icky though. I prefer my life support machine.

Trillion,

Funny you should mention this given a conversation between DH and MIL yesterday, went something like this:-

MIL: I hope ali doesn't mind BF'ing in public after all it is the most natural thing to do.

DH: Shitting and sex are also completely natural but you would be surprised if you saw someone doing either of those in a restaurant.

It is a rubbish argument for BF'ing. One of the other annoying arguments is that the nappies are less offensive. No they are bloody not - ds's nappies absolutely stink.

I apologise to all blondes - this was the only breathing joke I could find in a hurry!

A blonde goes into the beauty parlor with her walkman on her head.

"I need to take that walkman off your head," says the beautician.

"You can't! I'll die!" retorts the blond.

"I can't cut your hair with the walkman on your ears!" says the beauty specialist as she's getting very annoyed.

"I said you can't take it off, or I'll die!"

The beauty specialist, outraged and frustrated, grabs the walkman and yanks it off the head of the blonde. Within seconds, the blonde dies. When the beautician picks up the walkman to listen, she hears it repeating "breath in, breath out, breath in".

By "poo" I assume you mean the butterflies and pink glitter that I leave in the toilet after a visit?

I think you'll find that brain cell respiration (or something like that) is more natural than anything else - you can't even breathe if your brain cells don't work!

But your heart beats even if your brain isn't working...

I chose not to breath. I use artificial air. It's great. It means dh can get up in the night and breath for me.

I formula fed both of mine and neither of them have ever been around any Bf ing women.

we went to a farm recently and we were watching the piglets feeding from their mum, claves drinking from the cows etc. all was fine.

we went to the cafe and saw a Bfing woman, i barely noticed but DS asked what she was doing so i said, she was feeding her baby the same way the pig fed her piglets, the cow fed the calf etc.

his face was a picture. he then asked if i had fed him like that, i said no. relief was evedent as he then said "phew, i don't want to eat your boobies"!

Bfing woman nearly choked on her latte and i very swiftly changed the subject.

God yes, the peeing in the night thing...I would like a big tube that goes all the way to the bathroom that I could pee into from my bed. I hate getting up to wee.
