To feel a bit miffed

My FIL had asked us several times whether we would like his little trailer as he is wanting to put a new shed where it's parked.We said yes it would be very useful when we go camping but we would need to get a towbar on the car first.Acouple of weeks ago my dad said he was looking for a secondhand trailer so i told him that my FIL had one.FIL said he would gibe it to DH and if he wanted to keep iy at my dads and lend it out that was fine.
Anyway FIL brought it round to my parents and explained the arrangement and everyone was happy.Anyway I noticed today that it was missing and dad said that my brother had borrowed it for a week to go camping.DH is really cross that he wasn't asked ( we would have said yes) but AWBU ?

Not sure who is in the wrong here.

Sounds to me like your dad thinks its his trailer, and dh thinks its his, but is just parked at your dad's.

Maybe get this cleared up because no doubt it'll crop up again.

Not sure.

However perhaps you need to discuss with your DH and Dad a booking system, also who has priority over using it etc if different people want it at the same time.

Alternatively keep it your house and then you have control of the situation.
