AIBU?

...to think it's unfair to get a fly in my ear TWICE in a few weeks?

Was woken up a few minutes ago (3am! and I'm pregnant!! where's the justice, I ask you?) by some creature trying to buzz its damn fool way out of my ear. No idea what size fly- I assume anything would sound huge that close up.

I would find it funny if it weren't the second time in a few weeks the same thing has happened.

And we've run out of cotton buds, so I'm left wondering if the bloody thing isn't still in there, just lying doggo until I try to go back to sleep.

Oh, you poor thing.

I thought this thread was going to be about getting flamed on MN

There would definitely have been a lot less angry buzzing with a flea, abdab!

Do you have VERY large ears? ;)

Seriously, it is not fair and I hate it when that sort of thing happens.

I suspect more of a midge size- but sounded very big that close to my eardrum...

And, no, my ears are not huge, but perfectly tiny and shell-like. The creature had no business taking up residence in them.

You are being bullied. It's not right.

Is there something in there that they might be interested in?

I was stung twice whilst pg never stung before and never since. Perhaps pregnancy hormones are irresistable to flying insects.

I actually inhaled one of the buggers earlier. Went straight to my throat and nearly made me vomit. I really am feeling got at by the entire species.

Like your nickname, Dunoon. Rub it in, why don't you?

When you say something they might be interested in, do you mean something like the rat that died in there last week?

Well don't some brain cells die when you are PG?
