To the Twilight series. I mean I am 30 years old FGS.

I have read all the books in the space of 2 weeks, watched the film on box office and I am know waiting (not very patiently) for the DVD to be delivered.

I really need to get a life, don't i?

Light hearted AIBU so please don't flame!!

I am 37 and a huge fan of Buffy. And I enjoyed the film Twilight although haven't read the books. So no - YANBU!

busterk I am exactly the same!!

I read all 4 books in 2 weeks and am now almost finished them again so that is twice in a month.

I watch the DVD almost daily....

I don't understand my addiction??? It makes no sense to me but I can't stop. And I'm freakin' 35yo FGS!!!!!

YANBU (and neither am I!!)grin

Me to have read all Harry Potter as well. Didn't actually find Robert Pattinson attractive till I watched the film. I asked my DH to buy me the last book in the series when he was at the shops and when he got home he said to me 'is it not for teenagers'

Ninkynork Thu 25-Jun-09 14:54:04

Sparkly vampires are especially silly grin

Actually YANBU, I'm pretty sure I'll like the books too, have been avoiding them up until now though.

Edward is a creepy emo stalker who should either rip her throat out or get staked, I miss proper vampires, bloody kids taking all the fun out of stuff...

THIS is hysterically funny however: Buffy vs. Edward

Have you read Midnight Sun on the Stephanie Meyer website. It is fab too!!

I loved the Harry Potter books/films too!

Isn't Edward simply stunning looking in the restaurant scene!!blush

busterk Thu 25-Jun-09 15:01:33

Esselle, I was actually waiting to see how badly i got flamed before admitting i was reading them again for the second time, i am on eclipse.

I have spent all afternoon looking at trailers and clips from new movie coming out.

Using the fact that DD has chicken pox to not do anything!!

ds(aged 17 ) has just joined you

Thunderduck Thu 25-Jun-09 15:10:57

YABVU.Twilight,the book,was awful.grin

esselle Thu 25-Jun-09 15:12:08

Yay!! I'm on Eclipse too, the bit where Rosalie has just told Bella her story.

I borrowed the books from a friend and will have to give them back soon <<dread>>. I asked DH if he would buy them for me for my birthday and he called me a freak!!

I have made DH watch the movie but he wasn't overly impressed - which I guess is probably not such a bad thing...

I just don't know how Robert Pattinson managed to fly under my radar for so long tho??? <<Swoon>> I can't wait to see the New Moon movie! The trailer I've seen online looks goooood!

dawntigga Thu 25-Jun-09 15:13:23

YANBU - althought I think the author is a hack

Buffy/Angel/B5/Star Trek - all of them/Andromeda/Blakes 7/Dr Who in fact pretty much any sci-fi really and I'm glued

dxx

I got the film out when DH was on a night shift. I am hoping that it gets delivered tom because he is working tom night and I can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy!!
I dont think he gets it either.

I cannot understand why I have become so obsessed. Thnks my sister thinks i am losing it!! Although she did say she would come with me to see new film.

I think it is the film and the book that make Robert Pattinson even more attractive.

frankiecat Thu 25-Jun-09 15:45:22

to admit i thought daniel radcliffe was quite sexy in the last harry potter film? i'm not sure if this is the right place to admit this....[hmmm]

Sunshinemummy Thu 25-Jun-09 16:05:26

YABU. DP and I watched the film on Monday and thought it was pants. Vampires with teen angst. grin

SoupDragon Thu 25-Jun-09 16:06:22

The last book was cr*p IMO.

WildSeahorses Thu 25-Jun-09 16:08:29

No, this is totally normal behavour IMO. I practically watch the DVD on a loop (DH thinks I am mad...).
