can you cuddle a sleeping child for a bit?

Report
foxinsocks · 20/06/2009 21:48

(preferably yours, not a random sleeping child )

Hot water bottle? Sometimes that feels like company.

ah yes, you know, that does make you feel lonely doesn't it

there's not even shite to watch on tv

have you got any good dvds and a pillow to cuddle in bed?

pillows marvellous as substitute men I find. No farting or snoring.

Pillows I do have.

I just am so sick and tired of having no one. I am even fed up me being sick and tired of having no one, it is boring and very depressing and gives me a headache.

are you working or studying now? I've lost track over the last year or so

I do not know your background but thought I would send a hug.

When I split up from an ex and he moved out I used to sleep on the comfy sofa - somehow it was easier than being alone. Sometimes I do that now if DH isnt here.

nutty- I hope you feel better soon.
Why not take a big box of chocs, favourite book or other indulgence to bed?

Report
NervousNutty · 20/06/2009 21:57

Neither lol. Not surprising you have lost track, I do myself.

Have applied for a couple of things recently but other than that I am a completely sterotypical single mum and am also now fat lol

yanbu. I feel the same . I usually faff / do housework & MN 'til midnight.

I am going to have a mini bedroom re-vamp to make it more cosy so I won't mind going to bed as much.

nah, I just remember how you were looking for courses. Weren't you going to do something to do with nursing? It sounded so perfect for you.

You need to do something I think. Can see why you are getting bored and lonely. Isn't fair on you being stuck with nothing to do.

Thanks for the hug

I normally cope pretty much ok, but it has all gone tits up this week for no particular reason. Had a family party which always upset me and also held a baby which also upset me.

Being lonely actually physically hurts.

Bedroom revamp sounds god Meglet

I love my bedroom now, and someone just gave me a fairly new matress as mine was 30yrs old and giving me backache. It is likie sleeping on a pillow now.

ah that sounds positive nutty

you will meet loads of people at college, especially doing childcare. Think a lot of older people (i.e. not just young uns out of school!) go and do that at college so hopefully you'll meet a new gang of people.

Being lonely is just a horrid feeling. But your plans sound really positive you know .

Thank you

My Dd1 starts secondary this Sept and I feel so ashamed that I still have done nothing with my life, so hopefully that will motivate me.

cor blimey, that's gone quickly!

nah, you haven't done nothing. You've raised 3 gorgeous children! Who have you to thank for stability in their life! Don't write that off as nothing.

True

It has gone very quickly. Got a letter today with her start date and informing us what house she will be in and it made me slightly sad. Seems like yesterday she was starting primary.

She is more than ready to go though.

wow, such big kids hey. It is like the passing of an era I think.

2 people at work have their kids starting nursery this year (you know, the year before reception). And it feels like only yesterday that mine were doing that too.

I don't know where the time goes .

What I find most amazing is how tall they get! Is she as tall as you yet?

Ha yes although thats not hard as I am only 5'2.

She is the samne size shoe as me too and is always pinching my handbags and make-up

She is fab though, so confident in who she is, which I love as I am the total opposite.

She will go far

I suppose this situation is still new for you....
and it is more because of the situation in itself...
because otehrwise you would be celebrating, lol...ys, almost 5, has stopped coming into my bed at night....and dh has not returned to sleep in our bed , yet, well not regularly yet, and I love having the space....
but entirely different situation...

my friend, and my mum when we were younger, will/would go out those nights....

foxinsocks · 20/06/2009 22:19

lol nutty

can just imagine that getting worse with secondary school (the make up and handbag nicking!) though there must be a stage where they start thinking they are far cooler than we are!

how lovely to have a confident child
