Are you a character out of Eastenders?

Sorry, but it's does all seem very aggressive and I've rather lost the plot there. This mother's son has been picking on your ds who has sn, so your dd kicked him? Now the mother is calling the police to get your dd done for assault?

Sorry, but I'm a great believer in words that are mightier than the sword and I think it's a lesson you ought to teach your dd. I can understand her wanting to protect her brother, but not by getting into fights with these ignorant people. If they call him a spazz and a mong, she should reply "you really shouldn't talk about yourself in that way!" Patronise him, talk down to him. As for the mother, forget her. The police won't bother with a trivial incident like this.

In the midst of all that you referred to yourself as being 'ticked off'?

You are an EastEnders scriptwriter suffering a bit of writers' block and I claim my pony.

ilove I really feel for you. Its very very hard to keep your cool with all this going on and some scummer shouting on your doorstep.

I think it unlikely this woman will go to the police. Even if she did they would be unlikely to take it further. Even if they did it would be in the form of a quick chat and 'best not to get into a row' talk.

Rhubarb may have rubbed you up the wrong way but she does make sense. If you manage to take the high ground this woman will look like the sad slapper she is and you will feel better.

I have been known to bawl like a fishwife when riled but I always always feel better if I keep my cool. Even if I am shaking and boiling inside I know I have won if I do that.

Dont let this thing get out of hand. Women like that thrive on conflict and feuds. They dont have anything else going on.

Hope its ok.

She's not a troll.

Look, when I was a kid I hit some other kid who took the piss out of my bro, he has special needs too. However the mother didn't come round to our house ranting, I just got hauled in front of the Head who spent 10 mins staring at me, without a word. I won the staring competition!

But the scenario you describe sprouts, does sound a tad common. I suggest you do take the higher ground and just laugh at her. I think that'd be my first reaction to an irate mum jabbing and effing on my doorstep!

"Whatever!"

  • good, you've not lost your sense of humour!

Whilst I agree with what Rhubarb is saying, I still don't think YABU. You snapped and I've done this when feeling defensive of my children. I wonder if by saying what you said, t'other mother might think twice before coming to your door and throwing her weight around.

I'm doubtful her child will stop the snide stuff with your son though. Children are just vile adults-in-waiting, without the social niceties that prevent them from keeping their gobs shut.

    Good luck anyway.

calling someone a mong is the lowest of the low. You acted as I would have. This scumbag should be teaching her kids how to treat others SN or not! Police my arse!!!

Bit difficult to understand (I thought at first someone had snogged your DS)
But your 16 yr old DD allegedly kicked a 16 yr old boy who was making fun of your 2 yr old child with special needs. Now his mum wants to press assault charges against your DD ?
If I have got it right , then I think if the 16 yr old is frightened of being kicked by a girl , then he should stop teasing 2 yr olds.
