Horrible word, but this happened to me not long after I'd lost my pregnancy weight with dd - I was at the beach in a fab new outfit and it did make me smile a bit

Report
cornsilk · 16/02/2009 18:01

It's vulgar.

Report
cornsilk · 16/02/2009 18:03

It's also disrespectful.

Report
charitygirl · 16/02/2009 18:03

Sorry, I think that's yuck - i HATE anything like that!

Report
Mintyy · 16/02/2009 18:04

Yuck. YABU and, sorry to say this, really quite sad to be flattered by it.

One day your daughters will be dating teenage boys like that.

Or your sons will be hanging out with those teenage boys.

It is utterly disrespectful, how can you find it flattering?

littleboysblue · 16/02/2009 18:08

I'd really laugh if it was me, but no danger of that!!
I'd also be secretly chuffed, nice to get a littl ego boost every now and then.
I have to sk though, when you say teenage, do you mean 18/19 or do you mean 14/15? Because if it is the latter, it's a bit sick

Report
SJLTM · 16/02/2009 18:14

Mine were about 19/20 ! and no not sad...I was also a bit chuffed ! took it lightly....made me smile.

glad you were pleased.
I would have died

It's happened to me & it was a bit of an ego boost. Bit embarrassing at the same time.

cluelessnchaos · 16/02/2009 19:18

I would only like it if they were old enough to buy a pint or hold a driving licence, otherwise it would be a bit creepy.

Bluesapphire77 · 16/02/2009 19:25

Lol great innit
Bless em.
And yeah, one of our teenage daughters could be dating someone like that..thats what we warn them to avoid

BUT to be fair.. women reach sexual peak at 35, lads at what? 18-21?
Perfect [tongue hanging out emoticon right next to the embarrassed about admitting to being a potential cradle snatcher emoticon]

LoveMyLapTop · 16/02/2009 19:29

They were 16 -17
I wasnt flattered in a way that I wanted them to fancy me
It just was amusing that they even noticed someone as ancient as me

No. I wouldn't like it. But I'm a humourless old feminist type. Before anyone else says it.

SweetAudrina · 16/02/2009 19:35

People take this kind of shit too seriously!

I'd have been secretely chuffed, whilst frowning at them and acting all superior

If they were 12-13 I'd be but at 16-17 ... you must still 'have it going on'

I really don't like that expression, MILF. Or GILF. Or GGILF.

And TBH, teenage boys would f* anything!

So IMO not a massive compliment.

Report
nkf · 16/02/2009 19:38

Chances are they were taking the piss. Just daring each to say it. It was almost certainly more about them than you.
