I spent all morning yesterday trying to get tickets for Take Thatblush
Spoke to a friend of mine last night and she managed to get 4 and she's going with her sister so has 2 spare.
I asked her if i could buy the 2 spare ones off of her and she told me that she only bought 4 so she could put 2 on Ebay and if i want them i can bid like everyone elseangry

No. She sounds mean and greedy.

Some friend!

lulumama Sat 01-Nov-08 12:09:03

maybe she is really skint, and needs the potential extra money for Xmas pressies or fodd or bills?

still a bit mean, but if that is her rationale then i can understand it

What a friend!angry

FlameNPumpkins Sat 01-Nov-08 12:10:23

shock I don't care how skint I was, if I knew a friend really wanted to go and didn't have tickets, I would sell at the normal price

Ivegotaheadache Sat 01-Nov-08 12:11:55

She's probably wanted them to stick on ebay so she could make a profit on them for a bit of extra cash. If she sold to you she'd just sell them at the price she paid.

She could have explained a bit more, but if that's the case you can't really blame her.

cocolepew Sat 01-Nov-08 12:13:14

Buying extra tickets to tout them on e bay for a profit is a shitty thing to do anyway.

differentGuyD Sat 01-Nov-08 12:13:23

If she was skint, why did she buy 4? Greedy cow.

Lilybeto Sat 01-Nov-08 12:15:18

I hate when people buy extra tickets so they can make profit. How dare they make profit. It is not their own concert so why should they sell tickets

Wendyjayb Sat 01-Nov-08 12:15:55

She's definatly not skintangry
brand new car, child in private school, 4 holiday this yearhmm

I could understand if she was skint

differentGuyD Sat 01-Nov-08 12:21:29

Then she's a grasping opportunistic greedy cow.

Ivegotaheadache Sat 01-Nov-08 12:22:18

Well in that case she definitely a greedy cow.
Is there no where that you can get the tickets from?
Maybe you'll have to buy off ebay, just make sure you don't bid on hers and then tell her you bought them for hundreds of pounds from soeone else - but sorry didn't see your auction.

whitebeachesandcoconutoil Sat 01-Nov-08 12:31:47

i would be tempted to open a new account on ebay put in a massive bid and then just not pay so she has to readvertise[not sure if thta would work cos don't use ebay] but me being in a vile mood today .
failing that i would ring her and say how much do you think you will get on ebay for those tickets and then when she says reply oh good cos i thought OUR freindship was priceless but obviously you think it's worth [insert whatever amount she said] no worries my mistake i now know it's worthless and leave her to it.
if i had tickets and i knew my mate wanted some i would go out of my way to help her.

katiepotatie Sat 01-Nov-08 12:37:07

I think it is mean, also buying tickets to tout on ebay is just greedy!

MrsMattie Sat 01-Nov-08 13:03:46

What a cow. Some friend.

Heifer Sat 01-Nov-08 13:09:49

ditch the friend I say.. If she had no intention of letting you buy the tickets off her then she shouldn't have mentioned them.

I would be very annoyed if a so called friend of mine did that!

Oh and she is not a cow... [we are far nicer than that... grin

Shes not the only one to do this. She can cut the cost (or get all the money plus more) for the spare ones she managed to get, what is so unreasonable about that? Sensible IMO.
Tescos buys things cheaply, sells them for more.
People buy houses, sell them for more.
I dont know what the problem is with this at all.
