Help! AIBU thinking this chicken might be ok to eat?

I've posted this in food, but need a quick answer and this topic is busier.

Dh doesn;t have the sense he was born with.

I asked him to put the organic chicken in the fridge in the oven to roast.

I've just taken it out, and he'd left the giblets in their plastic bag inside.

I fished out the bag and it was intact and I;ve put the chicken back in the oven = but is it safe to eat?

This isn't the first time he's had to put the same brand chicken in the oven - I warn dds to take the giblets out, but thought a grown adult might have the wit to see the plastic bag sticking out

thanks

My mum once did this (years ago) and I am still here to tell the tale. It will be ok.

Thanks - two other mners on the food topic agree it'll be ok.

But if I never post on mnet again, you'll know why!

I've done it too and lived to tell the tale. In fact, I think they may put the giblets in special bags in case anyone is stupid enough to do this.

We did this years ago with a turkey, and myself and my sisters are still alive.

If you start going green in the night, you know you shouldn't have eaten it.

What are giblets? I have always wondered about this. [stupid emoticon]

the heart, liver, kidneys and neck cut away from the animal and placed back inside in a plastic bag so that people who wish to cook and eat them can.

Usually added to the gravy stock for flavour and removed before serving.

I read your thread title as
Help! AIBU thinking this CHILDREN might be ok to eat? ... the answer to that question is NO you can't eat your children.

I think your chicken will be OK though
