The sun is NOT supposed to be there, not at that time of day. It should be much much lower, not nearly in zenith. And NOT straight in the west!

Who kicked the earth off the axis!!??

Now, fess up! angry

This reminds of what purports to be the shortest Sci-fi story ever:

That morning, the sun rose in the West

Ok, it cant be in zenith, and to the west. It was nearly in zenith, and towards the west. It should be much more south. And LOW on the horizon.

And it was raining heavily anyway, so how come it was shining so brightly just above the clouds, when the horizon was totally dark grey both in the north and in the south?

And why was all back to normal, when I had picked up my son from school?

In the south, pinklined clouds. And dark everywhere else.

QuintessentialShadows Fri 24-Oct-08 18:50:50

I just had a word with my mum about it, the sun SHOULD be in the south at that time, and not above my head!

onager Fri 24-Oct-08 19:00:52

Maybe you are lying down and hadn't noticed

differentWitch Fri 24-Oct-08 19:01:59

Aren't you near the arctic?

QuintessentialShadows Fri 24-Oct-08 20:16:42

I am across the artic circle, at nearly 70 degrees north, the sun should be in the south at 15.30 pm. hmm It wasnt. It was right above my head...
