To want to turn on Mumsnet and NOT see a chat up line type thread for the more 'curious' ones of us?

Well am I?
Before I get jumped on (easy girls wink) I just want to say I have nothing against any type of fantasies that anyone may or may not have, but there is a time and place no? hmm

you don't have to read it.....

PortofinoPumpkin Wed 08-Oct-08 21:13:54

Well they were maybe getting a bit carried away when i left, but no harm done surely...

SuperPsychoFabioSaver Wed 08-Oct-08 21:14:08

completely agree with you.

it isn't quite the place for something like that, especially with all the plans they seem to be makinghmm

NotQuiteCockney Wed 08-Oct-08 21:14:22

I'm with anyfucker. I'm not interested in that particular thread, so I've not clicked on it. The thread title is clear, but it's not obscene or anything.

Whatever floats their boats I say!!

LadyOfWaffleIsScaryEnough Wed 08-Oct-08 21:14:49

time and place is MN @ 9pm.

CatIsSleepy Wed 08-Oct-08 21:14:55

MN is a good place to meet women i guess grin

oh i dunno, just ignore it or something

SuperPsychoFabioSaver Wed 08-Oct-08 21:15:27

I think it started off as a bit of fun, but doesn;t seem to be anymore, which in the climate of dubious meet-ups is a bit worrying.

I know we can hide the thread (I have now), but still....

CatIsSleepy Wed 08-Oct-08 21:16:14

have to say, i can't abide the term 'bi-curious'
sets my teeth on edge

Fanciful Wed 08-Oct-08 21:17:18

I read it and I thought the op wasn't a woman actually.

Tortington Wed 08-Oct-08 21:19:00

mumsnet is definitley not a place for frivolity

pepperpots Wed 08-Oct-08 21:19:55

I thought the thread was both interesting and amusing to start with even though admittedly thought it was a man to start with hmm It just seems that it has taken a bit of a weird twist with the talk off meet ups etc....

BloodandMutts I have neither led a sheltered life or recently joined. Have actually been here over three years.

QuintessenceOfFrankenShadow Wed 08-Oct-08 21:20:51

It is totally inappropriate.

PuzzleRocks Wed 08-Oct-08 21:21:50

someone please link, i'm nosey.

pepperpots Wed 08-Oct-08 21:23:19

Also it seems (not many have mentioned) this is adultery no? If this was a man and woman having this type of conversation with a possible meet up it would be wrong. As they are women is is okay?

cheesesarnie Wed 08-Oct-08 21:24:19

havent seen thread so no idea what your on about but i agree if you dont want to be involved in a thread or it doesnt interest you dont read it.(but i havent read it grin)

ScottishMummy Wed 08-Oct-08 21:24:19

tbh i think if most of em were confronted with a real fanjo they'd run a mile!

pepperpots Wed 08-Oct-08 21:26:28

BloodandMutts - I understand what you are saying, but this is a parenting forum not a dating forum.

HRHSaintMamazon Wed 08-Oct-08 21:27:08
