To take back half a bag of nappies that cost me £6.98 from tesco because....

for the past 3 days and nights my son has been covered in pee! But I wanted tog ive them the benefit of the doubt so have used half a bag. Will they take them back and will they refund without a reciept?

ARGH a, going to complain about them to save anyone else from buying these god awful things until they are fixed out. It was the size 5 pullups.

i ask becuase if it says other wise on the packet - you haven't got an argument.

i wouldnt expect a refund and think its pretty bloody cheeky to expect one after using half the packet.

but if the product is inferiour i would write a letter of complaint to the address on the packet

when my DS where pull-ups that are too big they never contain the pee, it coumes straight out the leg hole. I always find you need to go down a size too in pull-ups!

oh, and my DS2 is 6, and he is in sz 5 pull-ups if it of any help

my ds is covered in piss if he wears pull ups at night - they are not designed for that!

I never used them at night but had no probs with using the Huggies ones for occasional use during the day.

Not sure if they would refund you either after you've used most of em. I'd chalk it up to experience and try a diff brand.

Were they Tesco's own brand?

I don't do pull up's at all, as DS is a v v v heavy wetter, so it's safer not to!

You can get the night time pull ups.
My DS has never leaked out of any pull ups. Maybe he doesn't play with it!

Depends on your particular store. They may offer to exchange them for something else rather than offer you a refund because you haven't got your reciept. This would be more likely if they weren't a Tesco product as you can't prove you bought them at Tesco. But as they are Tesco nappies that shouldn't be a problem.
I'm pretty sure they offer the "if you are not entirely satisfied" thing so I would certainly take them back.

the loeg holes in tesco's pullups are huge, like high leg knickers.

Have you used the exact sameones before and are comparing this packet to another of the same?

I had the same prob with them. I only buy smaller packs now. Asda'd were a snugger fit, I found them much better shape tbh.

You can't really take them back, it's annoying I know, but perhaps use them in day time, or give to a friend.

Tesco will take them back if you claim they are faulty nd as they are tesco branded then they wont need a receipt(usually) but I dont think that these are designed for night time use tbh.

When I worked at tesco faulty own brand nappies were usually put in the toilets for baby changing.

It doesn't say anywhere on the packet about not using them at night have checked and checked again but it's through the day too. The reason we used half the pack is because they were alright for the first day or 2 then they started leaking for some reason and have been trying all the usual tricks making sure his bits are pointing down, and changing him more often during the day as does his nursery also last 2 nights have changed him at around midnight as has been soaked through and again this morning soaked right through! So nothing seems to work.

invisible I have tried going down a size but it doesn't seem to make any difference a 4 is too small a 5 seems to fit fine as far as I can see. A few people have said that though am going back to normal nappies because we have no luck with pull ups but DS does drink alot around 4 cups a day average.

I'm pretty sure that pullups aren't designed to wear at night - they are only supposed to catch odd accidents not a night worths of toddler wee

FWIW I think you get what you pay for in terms of nappies generally ie the dearer brands like Pampers etc are better performers than own brands like Tesco

I don't think Tesco will refund you, but only because you have no receipt. Doesn't matter if it's their own brand or not they need the receipt because otherwise people nick stuff and take it back for a refund.

I'd write to the address on the packet and tell them the product was rubbish and they will probably send you some vouchers.

BUT - it doesn't sound like you're using the right product, surely pull ups are only there to protect against an occasional accident, not for a child who is wet before and after midnight.

Again I didnt realise pull ups are not meant for night time use, we used another brand and they were fine for nights, I haven't seen any that say not to use them. ANd they leak during the day too! They were Tesco easy up pants.

I'm more intwerested in taking them back to tell them how crap their product is than getting my money back agreed that was a daft thought but hey ho am pissed off with them!
Can anyone reccommend a decent brand of nappies as I can't get a hold of the ones I used to use now? DS is allergic to Huggies, Asda and Aldi's nappies. ARGH PITA.

for night times I love the pampers dry ones the green packets. or the boots ones are surprisingly good.

all others are OK for the day but crap for night times if u want a 12 hour stretch.

I use pull-ups at night with no problems btw.

I have always found though, since DS was a baby, that different brands were a better fit at different stages.

Never occurred to me to take them back - just tried a different type or size.

If he 'fits' the stated size, then write a nice letter to the manufacturer to let them know and they might send you some freebies as courtesy.

pull ups not suitable for night time? really? the newer style ones that arent for potty training always worked fine for me, dd was in the huggies little walker ones from about one. in fact she is two and toilet trained and i put her in whatever is cheap at night and sometimes she wets, no problems

Are you lot all comparing them with the feel and learn type potty training pull up pants?

I would write or phone tesco instead, pampers send vouchers if you arent satisfied not sure about tesco.

Spandex is it worth buying the green ones for a 2YO? I don't know why I just assumed they weren't very movable IYKWIM.

Packet says 26-40lbs he is 32 I think, he is awful tall and skinny though.

I have used the purple boots ones never thought about the other ones. Is it worth buying different for daya nd night?
