dd1 is asking questions about Santa and Christmas.

couldn't resist getting her the tacky decoration in Primark she spotted.

the joy in her eyes when she sees it on Xmas day!

we've made the ornaments and broken out the 30 Things to Make for Christmas cards and she's made some choices - not ones I'd make but hey, she'll be thrilled to bake and make.

i just need some rum for my brownies.

oooo, can't wait!

has anybody else had the "I WANT THAT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!" at every advert yet?

Report
poppy34 · 30/09/2008 21:52

I can hardly wait to show dd my collection of tacky highly beautiful lighted decorations (including the one renamed rivers of blood by dh)

FrockHorror · 30/09/2008 21:53

Nope, but when pressed, DD has informed DH and I that she wants a Lazytown box with Stephanie stuff inside.

2 days prior to this however, DH and I went out and bought her a bike. It is vivid pink, with Stephanie all over it and it comes in the Lazytown box so desperately wanted

dd says 'i want that' to every single advert atm. I try to watch dvd's or cbeebies now

I'm getting organised for it all, buying gifts when I see things cheap etc

I can't wait til December 1st and I can get the decorations up

aww ec - the tree lights have now been suspended due to dh falling out of a tree two years ago ... so have to content myself with the tacky indoor decorations - dd too small to object (yet)

Every day, DS says 'I'm going to ask Father Christmas to make or buy me a [insert toy of the day - remote controlled something or other, usually].' Then the next day it'll be something different. We've had remote control monster truck, rc flying dragon , rc car that gets bigger and smaller, can't remember what else. I keep having to 'manage his expectations'.

Am not quite into Christmas planning yet myself, but why knock people who are? Just keep off the Christmas thread if you don't like it.
