I know I'm not but what can I do about parents drinking in play parks and giving it to thier kids.

If you were in the Edinburgh Meadows Playpark this afternoon you would've seen something fairly horrific.

Two adults, a man and a woman, three kids about 5, 9 & 12, some beer cans and a bottle of liquer (couldn't see the label, may have been whiskey). When they arrived I heard the parents say to the oldest kid, "Ha Ha your steamin'" I thought they were joking. They sat down next to the round about and proceeded to get drunk. I took my dd over to the other side of the park and figured at least the kids were getting some fresh air as thier homelife may not be great with such bad parents.

As we were leaving the park, my friends who were with me (who don't have kids) said they were quite shocked that the parents were giving the kids swigs of the liquer and beer. I didn't see it but was totally shocked. We then bumped into other friends who had also seen the parents giving the kids regular swigs of booze.

Since I got home, all I've been thinking about is those poor kids. I guess it's too late now to do anything about it?? I wish I'd seen them do it, I would've called the police straight away, I hope someone else did.

Shocked too - but not in Edinburgh. Would have also called the police, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
