this woman, i am supposed to work with has barly been there in 6 years! angry

don't you think it's a bit out of order from the same employer to have to cover all that for 1 person?

she's been having BABIES?????????????????

what a bitch

I hope you've written nasty things about her on the loo walls.

Anna8888 Sun 21-Sep-08 21:09:39

No. It's legal. It is her right. You might not agree with the law but you cannot reasonably find your colleague unreasonable.

IdrisTheDragon Sun 21-Sep-08 21:10:17

I don't have a problem with her having done that. What are you suggesting she should have done - had fewer babies? Gone to work somewhere else? Stopped working?

coppertop Sun 21-Sep-08 21:10:28

She should give birth on the office/factory floor and have the decency to clean up the mess afterwards too. Taking maternity leave. Whatever next? hmm

Are you a troll?

It's the law. Would you prefer she were on state benefits? Her kids will be paying your pension.

Stop complaining and being bitter.

coppertop - do think it's ok to have babies as well as a job????????

I'm shocked.
I always thought you were a reasonable mner.

LazyLinePainterJane Sun 21-Sep-08 21:11:57

MAybe you could stab her in the abdomen or something, leaving her unable to have any more kids. Would that make you feel better?

pgwithnumber3 Sun 21-Sep-08 21:12:17

Or we could be like China and only have 1 child per couple rule. hmm That would stop all these awful mothers having more than 2.4 children and <gasp> taking maternity leave.

By the way, do you pay her wages yourself?

WilfSell - sh. Let's just run wiht it.

wannaBe Sun 21-Sep-08 21:12:48

you are going to be crucified for this. wink

Fwiw I partly agree with you. Not that it's out of order that this woman has had 4 children, that is her perogative after all, but I can see it from an employer's pov if they have to keep a job open for that long and constantly have to train others to do it time after time.

But it's the law so...

WideWebWitch Sun 21-Sep-08 21:12:53

Yes of course you're being unreasonable, wtf has it got to do with you?

WideWebWitch Sun 21-Sep-08 21:13:31

Oh fgs wannabe, what?

DoubleBluff Sun 21-Sep-08 21:13:52

Oh no....grin

WideWebWitch Sun 21-Sep-08 21:14:30

Hang on, so the logical conclusion is that if a woman has four children she shouldn't be allowed to earn a living? Hmm, so how does that work then in terms of who pays for everything?

coppertop Sun 21-Sep-08 21:14:36

Fabio - Personally I think we should make pg women work until they drop. Feckless creatures. Send them up the extra wide chimneys and down the mines, I say. It'll make them think twice before daring to get pregnant again.

bodybag Sun 21-Sep-08 21:15:53

whats it got to do withme? i have to pick up her slack all the time.

i think 2 is quite enough burden on 1 employer, if you want more than 2 imo you should get aa job somewhere else to spread the burden.

it's not fair on one place.

LackaDAISYcal Sun 21-Sep-08 21:15:55

fabio, i think coppertop was smile

OP,'s none of your business.

ethanchristopher Sun 21-Sep-08 21:16:06

i dont think your being completely unreasonable

i feel sorry for the employer personally, hes gotta waste all that money. how long in the six years has she been working? and does she take unpayed leave aswell?

UpSinceCarpOClock Sun 21-Sep-08 21:16:27

So if you were supreme ruler and could choose, how many maternity/paternity leaves would you ration out to each parent then?

Oh and yes YABU

bodybag Sun 21-Sep-08 21:16:41

and her kids won't be paying my pension i will have my own pension thanks very much

NoBiggy Sun 21-Sep-08 21:16:59

She's had sex 4 TIMES!!!

WideWebWitch Sun 21-Sep-08 21:17:26

If you have to 'pick up her slack' then that's your EMPLOYER'S fault, not hers.

But I don't know why I'm rising to this tbh.
