It takes a real man to wear pink or carry a floral change bag IMO

PS. please excuse bandying about of phrases like 'real man' wink

swiftyknickers Wed 17-Sep-08 20:19:53

oh they are clearly knob jockeys-my DPlooks divine in pink also, but gets all jittery about it.- we have pubs so soome punter always comments -nobbers

Twelvelegs Wed 17-Sep-08 20:20:16

Where do you live? Just curious.

RubySlippers Wed 17-Sep-08 20:20:18

my Dad only wears poncey Paul Smith socks

your postie would have a heart attack

men are always eyeing each other up but they just never admit it

ethanchristopher Wed 17-Sep-08 20:21:25

only real men wear pink wink

Hulababy Wed 17-Sep-08 20:22:17

DH often wears pink shirts or ties for work.
Have to say though that he has never had such comments for wearing them.
Lots of men we know wear pink happily too.

i saw a man in a pink shirt today and it made me chuckle

it wasnt that it was pink, it was really baggy and tucked into the top of his tight jeans and he looked like a flower grin

he looked a bit silly but dont really think pink looks silly on men

my x thought that all men that wore pink were gay, but i honestly think that my x was uncomfortable with his sexuality or secretly gay grin

Oh dear if someone said that to me I would say something TERRIBLE

"Yes honey, last Friday he had a great time taking your husband from behind down in those toilets on Cheapside"

My DH wears pinks and I've never heard anyone say anything like that

Are you sure your husband isn't just a raving queen on some other level?

beanieb Wed 17-Sep-08 20:26:57

Depends really. Are you pissed off because you think being called gay is an insult, or because you think it's awful for people to say 'you are gay' as an insult. Because ultimately it's no insult at all and all it does is show those people up as being idiots, bigotted ones at that.

PinkyDinkyDooToo Wed 17-Sep-08 20:27:09

DH wears pink shirts all the time, DS1 has pink shirts too. They both suit the colour grin

morningpaper Wed 17-Sep-08 20:27:53

the postman said"does malory like you waering her socks then??"

"Yes but she draws the line with her suspenders"

MoChan Wed 17-Sep-08 20:28:22

I'm so tired of pink fascism. Not only do I think men look lovely in it (my DP wears pink shirts/t shirts and is very manly) but I also don't dress my baby girl in it one hundred percent of the time. In fact, I very often don't dress her in pink.

But that's different bugbear. I'll stop before the profanities start.

DorisIsAPinkDragon Wed 17-Sep-08 20:29:15

DH has some really nice pink work shirts he's never had any trouble afaik, and he looks really good in them, one is my favourite, can't believe how insulated and dare i say it backward some people are surely colour of shirt denoting sexual preference went out with the dark ages....
