I'm 39+5 weeks, and sick of being pregnant..

I told DH he put it in there so he should do his bit to get it out.

He won't.

TRMrsJS - no, for me it really was an improvement. But then I didn't get as far as the syntocin drip, just had 3 gel pessaries. Perhaps if I had had the drip as well, I might reconsider! wink

TheProvincialLady Tue 16-Sep-08 13:30:48

I think that make-this-baby-come-out sex has to be the lowest point in anyone's relationship. With all the ky jelly and Can't You Just Get On With It, next time I'll be going for the syntocingrin

misi Tue 16-Sep-08 13:26:17

hmm all I got was

''come near me and I'll cut it off''

and that was at 3 months PG right up till my son was nearly a year old sad

my ex went 14 days over and her waters broke the night before we were going in for an induction.

wish we had found this site (and thread) back then, maybe have given her a few ideas wink

TinkerBellesMum Tue 16-Sep-08 12:20:41

If I remember right you would need to do it something like 14 times a day and then spend time on your back with your legs in the air after each time so that the hormones in his semen sit on your cervix. It's not the easiest induction method! (not that it's not good fun though wink)

poppy34 Tue 16-Sep-08 11:58:31

lol at this thread... frankly the offer to drink is not very practical when you're the size of somethign that

also will not be doing this if we have another given the unflattering comments dh made about size of my fanjo (it transpired later that I must have been dilated..)

naturalblonde Tue 16-Sep-08 11:53:51

Well, my seduction technique may need work, but believe me, it's still better than his!! (and it's hard to be seductive when you feel the size of a baby elephant) How we ever managed to conceive is beyond me!!

He did very kindly make that offer Lunette, but not gonna let him know that it might work too!

TheRealMrsJohnSimm Tue 16-Sep-08 10:38:13 induction is better than crap sex????? Nooooooo!!!! Cannot agree with that!

Naturalblonde - you need to work on your seduction technique but YANBU to demand anything at this stage! It worked for me.....had been in slow early labour for 24 hours, had acupuncture, sent DS1 off to swimming pool with AP, demanded some bedroom-based attention from DH and sure enough my waters broke 30 minutes later

It bugs the crap out of me that men suddenly go off sex because you are pregnant. So irrational imo........

thumbwitch Tue 16-Sep-08 02:10:09

didn't work for me at 41+ weeks, and it was crap sex too (for both of us). We couldn't face more than one go at it, too bloody uncomfortable so went to 42 weeks and had induction. While not pleasant, it was still an improvement on crap sex.

fortyplus Tue 16-Sep-08 02:05:13

Still prefer curry! grin

nappyaddict Tue 16-Sep-08 01:43:49

Bouncy on the top sex is the best i am told grin

fortyplus Tue 16-Sep-08 01:23:26

OMG - wouldn't you rather have a curry? grin

Oh yes, the man has a duty to step up at this stage- I made sure DH did, as I didn't see why I should be the only one suffering!

ChacunaSonGout Mon 15-Sep-08 23:40:08

we did it everynight the week before ds (9 weeks")was born

dp likes me pg!

Lunette Mon 15-Sep-08 23:37:11

They say it works if you drink the, erm "stuff" too. But don't tell him that...just thought you'd like to bear it in mind.

ethanchristopher Mon 15-Sep-08 23:25:53

this has brightened up my evening

tel him if he doesnt you will call the baby katie price.

see if that works wink

frazzledoldbag34 Mon 15-Sep-08 21:41:17

Oh just tell him to get on with it.
It is what we call in this house a 'mercy sh*g'.
Worked with both mine and I shall rely on it once again if this one stays in there too long!
Do it in the dark, 'spoons' stylee if he's not keen.

Oh and remind him this could be his last invitation to BD for quite a while!!!!
That should help convince him.

naturalblonde Mon 15-Sep-08 21:31:35

phd, I pmsl laughing so much at that I think I probably won't need DH anyway!

Kevlarhead Mon 15-Sep-08 21:27:52

"dh is still in shock"

No wonder. Poor bloke's horrified at the thought of prodding DS in the head...

phdlife Mon 15-Sep-08 21:17:59

you might want to think carefully about this - we did it and it worked, like, instantly (waters broke, labour started within the hour) - ds is 17m, dh is still in shock...

DustyTv Mon 15-Sep-08 21:17:57

Tell him to get on with doing his bit (but that is why you are in this position in the first place lol wink grin)

BarcodeZebra Mon 15-Sep-08 21:17:27

A fine time to discover he's gay...

jeez, jump him already!

Me and DH joke because I was 40+2 with DS and was getting irregular contractions for days beforehand.

Told him to do his job, and hey presto - labour started 30 mins later.

We call it his "donation" because it has to be the worst, most unloving sex we have ever had!

''Spoons' is a good position when you're this pregnant.
