YABU - you need to find a proper outlet for your irritation

It's not that annoying. I agree with hmc.

I just keep starting to post and then realise it's that same topic covered months ago. I then may have a different view and look like a fool, a very large pregnant one!

I have recently been reading old threads .. they are far superior to new threads

you should try it

It's very annoying. I have reported it several times. I reported it months ago and I am reporting it now.

Newbies just can't get it right can they? If they start a thread on a subject that's been done before, they get told to search the archives. If they do search the archives, find a relevant thread and then dare to add a post to it, they get told off for resurrecting ancient threads.

Why is it annoying anyway?

I wish s/he hadn't, I'd missed it first time around but am now sitting here blushing as I recall an awful potty-training incident.

I'm not against it in principle though, you can sometimes see some interesting threads that way.

If you start to post on the thread, then you obviously haven't read the start date either.....

Just a light annoyance really! Still perhaps I will resurrect an old controversial one, at least!!

Are newbies allowed to post or should they just read the 'wisdom' of the oldies? I feel a thread coming on. Hang on just off to research that.....

i rarely use the topic lists so when i do i sometimes forget that the threads can be fairly old. also, if you search for something and the date is close to right month wise but the wrong year that could throw you off..... not that i've done that or anything

Report
Twelvelegs · 13/09/2008 20:44

Damn I knew I should have checked the archives oin this topic before starting a thread.

You are MAD. Who cares? What the hell is wrong with resurrecting old threads? I have never been so rude on a thread before, but, what's WRONG with you?
