Do you mean 'their fathers' or 'the fathers of their children?'

If you are going to make a ludicrous generalisation at least do it properly, FFS.

jojostar · 10/09/2008 18:50

sorry having a bit of a bad day thought thats what mumsnet was for i'll vent somewhere else just though maybe i'd get a little understanding not a telling off for incorrect grammar...

soon2be3 · 10/09/2008 18:53

I was just thinking that when I read the title of your thread. "hell" I thought "this ones really had a bad day."

Janos · 10/09/2008 18:53

Nothing wrong with asking for support jojostar, butI think you are being a bit naive if you think a post like that will get a sympathetic hearing on here - especially when it's phrased in such a inflammatory way.

Snaf · 10/09/2008 18:54

Your thread title does rather inhibit reasoned debate, jojostar. I assume reasoned debate was what you were after?

Chequers · 10/09/2008 18:57

Sorry you are having a bad day jojo. You'll pobably get a mauling for posting here, maybe try posting it in relationships.

xx

jojostar · 10/09/2008 18:58

doesnt matter, just some mothers are like that and I'm sat watching two little girls be ripped apart by one and I'm angry and upset and to be quite honest I now feel 20 times worse thanks anyway twinsetandpearls and soon2be3..logging off

macdoodle · 10/09/2008 19:08

hmmm how judgemental I'll guess you've never been the mother left doing all the day to day grind while dad swoops in being Mr Wonderful dad
Of course ALL us single mums are like that because all the dads are so bloody wonderful
Go post on Lone Parents sure you'll get loads of sympathy there

LittleBella · 10/09/2008 19:10

ScottishMummy · 10/09/2008 19:22

She's not saying all mothers do that. She's ranting (understandably) about those who do.

Can you imagine being told you can't see your child - being dependent on someone else's goodwill as to whether or when you can? Pleading or arguing over every extra hour you spend with them because you only get to see them for 48 hours in 21 days? Being told you can speak to them in one half hour window per week - and then finding that the phone is never answered? It's utterly heartbreaking for the parent - and it's just horrible to have to sit and watch your partner going through it.

I have held my lovely, big, blokey dh when he's been breaking his heart because he was missing his little girl so much.

When I see him with dd, and what a great Dad he is, I will never understand how his x tried her best to prevent him having a relationship with their daughter.

ScottishMummy · 10/09/2008 19:32

JoJo me thinkey he is spinning you a line.poor him downtroden dad, twisted saddo ex. oh aye

are you in the british second wives club by any chance?

SpandexIsMyEnemy · 10/09/2008 19:41

some mothers who are like that give the rest of us a bad name - BUT on the other hand you're hardly getting a neutral view and unbias story here are you - your OH will be making his EX out to appear bad - god knows mine is and I literally bend over back wards to accomodate him.

you're having a bad day but don't tar all of us with the same brush.

and don't assume that everything you're told is right either cos the chances are it's been told to you in a way which makes him sound better than is in the situation.

beansmum · 10/09/2008 19:41

I suppose it would be fair to call a woman who stops contact for no reason a fucker. And a bit of an idiot too, I would LOVE to have someone take ds off my hands once a week, having no time to yourself is crap. But the thing is, although dads who don't see their kids like to blame it on the mum, quite often (nearly always imo) it's not the mum's fault.
