Unreasonable not right word - misguided perhaps?
Also - must be v expensive buggy!!

lulumama Tue 26-Aug-08 19:45:12

that must be some pricey pushchair! buy the bag and your little one can go in a £20 stroller

AbbaFan Tue 26-Aug-08 19:49:01

I need to see a picture of the bag, so I can decide wink

narkymum Tue 26-Aug-08 19:51:16

No pic but is called "the paddington"

PookiePodgeandTubs Tue 26-Aug-08 19:52:09

You don't need an expensive buggy. Get one from woolworths.

Post a link to the bag.

AbbaFan Tue 26-Aug-08 19:54:17

Based on your last post, I say go for it On a different scale I bought a Mulberry purse that I thought was eye-wateringly expensive for what it was, but it gives me pleasure everytime I use it, ie several times a day

eekamoose Tue 26-Aug-08 19:56:35

Will it make you happy? Honestly?

I am 45 and have never had a bag worth more than £50 and that was a Christmas present from DH.

How will it improve your life?

What is the meaning of a Chloe bag? You do realise, don't you, that there are millions of us who wouldn't know a Chloe bag if it hit us in the face? So while you are strutting around with it on your arm thinking "Oh I'm so great I have a Chloe bag, everyone must realise" the vast majority of people will be oblivious?

Pah at modern ridiculous shallow consumerism.

TheCrackFox Tue 26-Aug-08 19:56:48

Get the bag - the buggy will only be barfed al over. By the way I am very envy.

narkymum Tue 26-Aug-08 19:56:52

Yes thats it !

PookiePodgeandTubs Tue 26-Aug-08 19:59:03

Get both. I sold my P&T for 3/4s what I paid for it!

AbbaFan Tue 26-Aug-08 19:59:24

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE the bag, but could never spend that much money on it.

I would only buy it, is I were as rich as Mrs Beckham envy

narkymum Tue 26-Aug-08 19:59:48

Yes I am shallowblush and smug hahahagrin

narkymum Tue 26-Aug-08 20:01:29

Its not something I would do on a regular basis. Actually ever before. Was possessed I tell thee.

lulumama Tue 26-Aug-08 20:03:10

<<whispers>> i have that bag blush

MuthaHubbard Tue 26-Aug-08 20:03:25

can you not track down a cheaper 'look-a-like'?

tbh, am a bit like eek, i wouldn't know a chloe bag if i fell over it (which i probably would). plus if i spent that much on a bag, i would feel as though i would have to use it everyday for the rest of my life!

sandy4 Tue 26-Aug-08 20:05:45

got a paddington off ebay (no, it's not a fake) for £150. bargain grin

sandy4 Tue 26-Aug-08 20:09:14

but that was ages ago, it's a bit waggish so don't use it anymore ... grin

narkymum Tue 26-Aug-08 20:10:30

Mutha you should treat yourself, or is your cupboard bare? (sorry couldn`t resist)

ScummyMummy Tue 26-Aug-08 20:12:06

I think it depends if you will really really love it and use it for years. I have never bought a designer handbag because I am too flibbertigibbetlike for quality and always want a change after 6 months or so. But one of my loveliest friends has a mulberry bag that she loves and has used every single day for years and years since she bought it at some horrendous price. It really has been worth it for her.
