known him for 13 years but only become a problem in the last 5 or so ... perhaps since we got married he now regards me as one of the family - he kisses his dd (my sil) on lips too, and grandchildren - don't want him to do it to ds either.

have possibly let it go on too long to actually say something, just keep dodging it??

I'm no good at social kissing either, but i can't see how not to offend - unless you get your dh to somehow bring up how you hate social kisses re an unrelated incident - preferably when you're out of earshot!

surely social kissing is not the same as being kissed on the lips? I don't object to a kiss on the cheek and even all the mwah mwah endless cheek to cheek nonsense. but on the lips? DH sadly not here to help with this one.

Just don't get close enough for a kiss.
Or tell him not to do it. "Do you mind?" should suffice.

YANBU

Christ on a bike, I'm reeling from this. But what the hell you do about it, I don't know. Er, turn your face away? What does your DH think? Does he do it to him??

Yuck!!! I would have to tell him.

I don't even let my kids kiss me on the lips!

eat loads of garlic and blast him with a cheery "Hi!!!!!!" just as he's closing in.

Or get creative with some makeup and make yourself an evil looking recurring coldsore.

Just smile at him sweetly and say "uh uh uh, no tongues now!"

I would have developed a strange lip disease that means no kissing, ever, by now. Paint part of your lip purple and say its sore, remind him every time! Occasionally say ouch when drinking tea and mutter about sing lip disease specialists

Gross!! I have friend's DH's that try and do this too...I just have to turn my face quickly and make sure that it's my cheek that gets kissed....sometimes this means I get a very wet cheek kiss YUK! What is wrong with people?!

I know there are peeps that do this all the time but I personally, don't like it.

YUK! EMIL used to kiss me on the cheek, we hated each other so it was very false. I told her to stop. She kisses DH on the lips and he swears she pokes a bit of tongue out . He's always backing away with his hand over his mouth.
