FIL is goinhg to have a loo9k at it and see if he can remove it first. if he cant, then i am considering asking if someone on freecycle can.
its a cupboard that has been converted by previous tenant into a shower closet. its disabled accessable but not wheelchair accessable. no step to go into it. i dont know how much these set up costs but am guessing its not cheap. has two doors that open out so you jsut walk in.
i figure, its not use to us, it all works, so asking if anyone can take it out and make use of it, should be ok? yes or no?
(if FIL cant take it out and not damage it at all then will be put on freecycle anyway)
Yes, nothing wrong with asking on freecycle. I have seen many things advertised where the giver has put that the receiver will have to dismantle it - from trampolines to whole kitchens. If someone needs it, they will probably be willing to remove it.
If you're putting all the bits up for grabs and explain what they will have to do, I don't see why not. Plenty of big items get advertised saying you will need to bring an extra person to help get it out the house.
Although, they won't necessarily get it out with as much care as you would...
