Currently FIL is sitting on my sofa without his shirt on sweating all over it. Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit yuk?

(Yeah, I know, this is a bit trivial compared to some threads on here )

Gobbledigook Sat 26-Jul-08 19:19:23

MrsTiddles Sat 26-Jul-08 19:22:59

yukkety yuk yuk yuk

moondog Sat 26-Jul-08 19:24:09

Is he fat? Would thenbe even worse.

Mercy Sat 26-Jul-08 19:28:04

Kazbeth, my FIL once wore shorts with no pants on underneath. I couldn't help noticing because he was legs akimbo (as men do)

But he had a top on.

Why do some men think it's acceptable to be sweaty and hairy?

snooks Sat 26-Jul-08 19:31:53

I loathe the fact that as soon as the sun comes out some men think it's fine to 'go skins' as they say. They're always ugly/fat/too skinny/old (I am sensing some double standards in my argument though wink).

moondog Sat 26-Jul-08 19:39:57

Mercy, that ishorrific. Did you telldh?

fordfiesta Sat 26-Jul-08 20:02:43

..... cant say it is really horrific, like i said it bothers me but i am uptight and woud'nt like sweat and smell etc all over my sofa, but bet you all would'nt complain if it was some six foot gorgeous tanned six packed 30 yr old!? Feel like we are being a bit bias against 'older'...'bigger' men!? wink

Mercy Sat 26-Jul-08 20:21:18

moondog, yes I most certainly did!

I was expecting dd at the time, the last thing I wanted to see was my FIl's bollocks

(I think it was an oversight tbh, he wasn't used to DILs etc. )

moondog Sat 26-Jul-08 20:23:39

Wot, so it was ok in front of other blokes? I think not.

Mercy Sat 26-Jul-08 20:33:44

Noooo, the sighting of his bollocks just increased my nausea!

moondog Sat 26-Jul-08 20:34:56

My dh stilltraumatised at inadvertent bollock display to twoquiet Danish girls years ago when working on asummer camp.

Mercy Sat 26-Jul-08 20:43:35

My FIL would be devastated to know I've seen his bollocks.

Unlike a friend of ours who visited his professor (or something) at home and laughed about how he'd seen the teenage daughters in their bikinis and how they had flirted with him.

As I told him, to a 16 year old girl, an man of 45 or so is an old fart. She was just being friendly to an older man.

He didn't speak to me for a while after.

moondog Sat 26-Jul-08 20:47:54

lol

kazbeth Sat 26-Jul-08 22:09:44

Oh god, mercy, that's certainly put my issue into perspective lol, that's so much worse!

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's gross though. I had to cave though and got my husband to put a blanket behind him.

The six foot gorgeous tanned six packed 30 yr old thing is a bit of a connundrum as I'd be torn
