To expect drinks to be included with food...

A lot of questions in the title there..!!!

We were at an event yesterday - Dinner with Peppa Pig...similar to what you get at Disneyland where you get to have breakfast with the characters..

It was really good...cost about £21 for all of us (2 adults 2 children) - we got fed, we got to meet Peppa and the girls got to have their photos done with her.

ALL the kids were really well behaved (everyone stayed in their seat when Peppa arrived, no-one was running around screaming) and the staff were all BRILLIANT...

Really pleased...

BUT...the price of the ticket included our food, but no drinks. We had to buy the drinks seperately and 2 cokes and 1 bottle of water for the girls to share, came to £5.

I'd have expected that if food was included then something to drink (jugs of squash/water on the tables) would have been included....

Other than that it was really good - I think it was the first one of these events that they have done although it was obviously a suiccess and they were taking votes as to who their next "visitors" should be (SpongeBob is coming in a few weeks).

I was thinking I could write them a letter thanking them for what was a great event BUT drinks would have been nice, rather than writing and just focussing on the drinks issue..:-)

However I'd just like to know if people think that it is a reasonable thing to poijnt out, or if you had attended such an event would you have expected food but no drinks included in the price.

i think its reasonabvle- at least a jug of squash. If they're nort provided then people need at least to be amde aware of that when making booking, I for one often forget to get cash out thinking these things are apid for

Would have expected no drinks tbh as overall price was quite cheap and people's drinks requirements vary so much.
Where was it btw? dd would LOVE to meet Peppa!

At £21 for 2 adult meals and 2 childrens meals as well as Peppa, personally I wouldnt have expected drinks to be included. If you order food in a restaurant drinks are rarely included. They are a business and the drinks side probably boosts their profits for the day.

I think the price was extremely good value and certainly would not complain. Generally, when there is a set price for something, it does not include drinks so I would not have been surprised to be charged extra.

Please let me know too where it was. My dd is a Peppa nut and would love to go to something like this.

Hi everyone

Thanks, I might still write them a letter to say what a great event it was..!!!

For those who were interested it was in Aberdeen at Codonas which is our local theme park/amusement arcade/place wiuth fairground rides...

However I'm sure the "costume" that made Peppa was hired so it must be something that other places can do.

I also agree that it was really good value
