RAIN angryangryangry

FFS it is JULY!!!!! So, please, who ever it is that controls the weather, would you stop picking your nose and sort it out.

I have had a duvet cover in the washing machine for a week,i have rewashed the thing twice, now i am going to have to give up and put the heating on to dry the sodding thing. My washing mountain is like Everest.

and AND i promised DD a trip to the soft play today, in fact i have to go there because i need to pay some money for her b/day party. That is a train and long walk away.............DD loathes her rain cover and screams the whole time.

bloody sodding pissed off

lucyellensmum Fri 11-Jul-08 11:03:43

and my TV has broken so normally when i would commit the cardinal mumsnet sin and let her watch Cbeebies for an hour while i do some housework mumsnet she is bored, whining and wanting to "help".

If i don't post again for a while, it will be because all my fingers are broken having been finally got by the worlds most malevolent clothes horse that snaps shut on my fingers at every opportunity.

when will you sweary in the thread title people learn?

you need to use the word "cunting" to be taken seriously!

wink

FAQ Fri 11-Jul-08 11:05:01

why not hang the duvet cover over a door, or something???

bellavita Fri 11-Jul-08 11:05:34

Squonk - when did you learn words like that?

fryalot Fri 11-Jul-08 11:07:09

um... mumsnet blush

OrmIrian Fri 11-Jul-08 11:07:12

I feel your pain LEM! I feel your pain.

Same here. I just put a load out in the sunshine and it started raining 2 mins later. I have all the uniforms to wash and we're going camping (ha!) this weekend so not much time to do it.

bellavita Fri 11-Jul-08 11:07:35

grin

taipo Fri 11-Jul-08 11:07:43

PestoMonster Fri 11-Jul-08 11:08:52

Bring 'em down to me. I'll pop them in my garden, the sun's come out!!!

bellavita Fri 11-Jul-08 11:08:52

fryalot Fri 11-Jul-08 11:09:32

<<<looks out of window>>>

nowhere near us, bellavita grin

taipo Fri 11-Jul-08 11:09:52

Southern Germany.

I might just have to drag myself to the outdoor swimming pool this afternoon.

Love2bake Fri 11-Jul-08 11:10:43

Sunny here too grin sorry!

bellavita Fri 11-Jul-08 11:12:11

Well two weeks today I will be in sunny Florida grin

<<<must thing about getting suitcases out>>>

themoon66 Fri 11-Jul-08 11:12:55

Its sunny here at the moment (Lincoln), but its sure to rain by lunchtime, like every day this week sad

We only get fragments of summer in the UK really.

I'm booking a week in Egypt... I looked on a weather website and it said 'precipitation not applicable' grin

lucyellensmum Fri 11-Jul-08 11:13:49

it wont last pesto - i had literally opened the washing machine door in bright sunshine and by the time i got the stuff out it was pissing down - grrrrrrrrrr

Its times like this i wished i let DP persuade me to buy a tumble dryer when ours broke. But if i had one i would use it all the time and that would be bad for the environment, so you would think the environment gods would look down kindly upon me and think, well, shes trying.....let it sun when she has done her washing, but no they are too busy rolling about laughing at Gordon Brown's banquet fiasco to worry about the little people.............I'm tempted to turn all my lights on, the hoover on AND the iron and go out in the rain and laugh like a banshee

FAQ Fri 11-Jul-08 11:15:05

<<<<<whispers again - hang it over the doors, or if you're in a house (as opposed to flat) over the banister (sp) a the top of the stairs)>>>>>>

OrmIrian Fri 11-Jul-08 11:16:55

I am in exactly the same boat. Our tumble drier died a few months back and I didn't fix it because I wanted to try to manage without.

Even with the heating on there enough room to drape all the wet stuff.

bellavita Fri 11-Jul-08 11:17:16

Good idea FAQ re bannister

lucyellensmum Fri 11-Jul-08 11:17:26

FAQ that is all very well, but that would mean i would have to dust the top of the doors blush. Don't have a landing in this house, i knew i missed that for a reason

suzywong Fri 11-Jul-08 11:17:27

I do like a thread with cocksucking in the title

it's only 3 degrees warmer in London than it is here in Perth and we are in deepest midwinter. The Fragrant Boys have had to spend a day indoors (School hols) and are most perplexed and discombobulated.
