toe nail clippings?

Coz that was what greeted me on the coffee table when I came downstairs this morning.

Why can't DH clip his toenails in the bathroom over the bin like normal people!

yuk

Clarice - what did we do to deserve such disgusting behaviour???

claricebeansmum Thu 10-Jul-08 18:01:27

He sometimes lines them up on his bedside table...WTF?

BouncingTurtle Thu 10-Jul-08 18:02:30

Does he measure them? Coz if they continue to grow after they have been cut it's a sign he's a demon...

ellideb Thu 10-Jul-08 18:02:42

Clip your toe nails over his side of the bed, he'll soon get the message!

2shoes Thu 10-Jul-08 18:02:52

put them in his drink.
yuck

BouncingTurtle Thu 10-Jul-08 18:04:54

I've just told DH about them - he said he meant to put them in the bin. I pointed out I didn't want him cutting his toenails down here in the first place!

OrmIrian Thu 10-Jul-08 18:08:58

Well bouncingturtle. That will be because he thinks he has tidied them up (ie they are in a pile rather than all over the place) and he thinks that is sufficient. My DH does the same thing with his clothes. A biiiiig pile of clothes on top of the wooden chest in our bedroom is OK apparently - as long as they aren't all over the floor hmm

JamInMyWellies Thu 10-Jul-08 18:09:34

ewww, I shook the duvet out the other day and DP's toenails landed on my pillow.

Men are just revolting there is no hop for them.

Put them in his sandwiches..... he wont do it again grin

LazyLinePainterJane Thu 10-Jul-08 18:49:33

Surely it is irrelevant where he cuts them, as long as the clippings are disposed of....

brightwell Thu 10-Jul-08 18:50:50

My ex always left his toe nail clippings for me to pick up, I used to put them in his pockets, in his briefcase, on his pc keyboard. He never got the message!

BouncingTurtle Thu 10-Jul-08 18:51:31

Hedgewitch - It's the fact that when he clips them downstairs, he doesn't dispose of them!
I always clip my nails in the bathroom - I thought that is was most people did? Fingers nails I'll do downstairs, but over a bin!
There are some very good suggestionshere

bozza Thu 10-Jul-08 19:00:59

I usually clip mine, sat on DH's side of the bed. But onto the floor and just before I hoover up.

AuntieMaggie Thu 10-Jul-08 19:10:20

I did mine in bathroom the other day and left the clippings on the floor as a hint

LazyLinePainterJane Thu 10-Jul-08 19:23:10

I do mine over the sink.

I would be tempted to make a sandwich with them and give it to him but I wouldn't go that far. I would put them in his bed though.

Cryptoprocta Thu 10-Jul-08 22:43:00

Burn them, so he'll get a fever. grin

elmoandella Thu 10-Jul-08 22:47:41

at least he cuts them. my dh comes into bed and scratches me with his claws.

his fingernails too. one night he took a big chunk out my elbow. he never realised and was fast asleep. so i cut them.

he was v confused in the morning.

i really must do more things when he's in deep sleep.

tis fun!

Mine does things like that.

There is definately a case for people in relationships to live in separate houses.

Or house(me) and dog kennel/shed (him).

lucyellensmum Fri 11-Jul-08 10:05:35

My DP has a fungal nail infection, if he did that i would murder him hmm. What he does do though is flick all the fluffy bits from inside his socks out into the bath - this is a recent phenomenon but it drives me insane, i mean, why would you do that?? He does it every morning
