AIBU?

To be livid that the £400 "echo" tumble dryer I have had less then 2 years has just had the drum drop out [shock]

Heard a bang and then a scraping sound and the drum has dropper, it has ripped the metal as well shock
Not under warrenty now either....

I will not live without a tumble so this weekend it is off to get a new one, a cheap one, no matter how muh DP wants to hug trees grin

yanbu it should have lasted longer. but people can live without a tumble dryer(I do) a washing machine ......never

If it had been the washing mechine it would be up to the land lord to fix (although they took 3 months to get the dishwasher replaced ) but the tumble is mine I have a line and I do use it but sometimes school clothes need to be done over night

Stuff really isn't built to last these days, it's shocking. IPods were going foom after one or two years and Apple thought that it was quite reasonable for that products to have that lifetime.

DP has now dismantled it and it is in bits over the kitchen It is not Christ it will not raise again.

you can get cheaper ones on the internet (I got mine from coop electrical for about £140).

we have a 130 bosch one 3 years ago, a condenser one. its great and is a proper workhorse.

i would live without my tumble dryer but if my dishwasher broke i'd be distraught !

I brought a washing machine in feb last year, cost me £370 and the bloodly bearings are going on it already. I am so pissed off!!!
