If it had been the washing mechine it would be up to the land lord to fix (although they took 3 months to get the dishwasher replaced sad) but the tumble is mine angry I have a line and I do use it but sometimes school clothes need to be done over night

Stuff really isn't built to last these days, it's shocking. IPods were going foom after one or two years and Apple thought that it was quite reasonable for that products to have that lifetime. angry

i would live without my tumble dryer but if my dishwasher broke i'd be distraught !
