Giving your bits a spritz…

Chatting to a friend this evening and I mentioned that as part of my ‘going out routine’ I’ll spray perfume on my hair, clothes and wrists but I’ll also give ‘my bits a spritz’ that is I’ll spray my clothes ‘down there’
She was horrified but my husband is always amused at that!
So, do you spritz your bits or not?

Yes: I am not unreasonable and I do this
No: You are an tart and this is not acceptable

RobertaFirmino Mon 06-Dec-21 23:55:57

Down where? Australia?

Yogaandcocoa Mon 06-Dec-21 23:56:10

No

BeardieWeirdie Mon 06-Dec-21 23:56:34

Er no, never done this. I thought you meant your actual vulva rather than the clothes covering it! 😱

To attract (or repel) passing canines? Mind boggled.

If people are greeting you on a night out by sniffing your crotch, I hate to tell you, but I think you’re doing it wrong.

Yes I always talk to my fellow female lady friends about spraying my crotch, what larks.

CouncilHousedAndViolentBaby Mon 06-Dec-21 23:57:16

No as it shouldn't smell ?

RobertaFirmino Mon 06-Dec-21 23:57:45

Just so you know, Boots currently have £1 off selected Canesten products.

Thedogscollar Mon 06-Dec-21 23:58:12

Not recommended can do more harm than good.
A vagina should smell like a vagina not some Gwynnie Paltrow imposter vagina.
Waste of expensive perfumegrin

Nah -she mentioned clothes. What self respecting feline wears clothes other than under protest at Christmas.

Has to be canine

I could swear I've seen this as a "tip" somewhere, probably 15 to 20 years ago, OP, so I don't think you're the only one.

I don't wear perfume, now, but back when I did, I'd spray a bit in the air and then walk through it, as my mother taught me to do! grin

GreenLunchBox Tue 07-Dec-21 00:15:55

You've rigged the vote so it looks like YANBU

bethabean Tue 07-Dec-21 00:16:07

Not ashamed to say I do this!grin
Think mine is a habit stemming from insecurity of smelling down there even though I have no reason to worry!

fabricfanatic Tue 07-Dec-21 00:16:49

Ah, just remembered that some of the perfumes I had didn't come in spray bottles or maybe I'd decanted them myself into antique-style glass bottles. For those, I'd just dab my wrists and neck, and maybe a bit behind the knees. Pulse points.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams Tue 07-Dec-21 00:20:13

Well, Coco Chanel did say you should apply perfume "Wherever one wants to be kissed." but I'm not entirely sure that was where she had in mind. grin

Oh cool, another thread getting women to share hilarious anecdotes about their stinking fannies? Nah, you’re alright cheers.

AnotherOneWithNoGoodName Tue 07-Dec-21 00:24:48

I don't but have heard of people who do!

BehindTheFridge Tue 07-Dec-21 00:39:23

Nope. Never done that.
