Hi lovely people 💖

We are currently caught up in the storm with no electricity or internet. Can anyone please recommend songs/games for us to get through.

Thanks very much

Posting here for traffic but actually was my dh unreasonable to think this storm was all media and he should have listened?

Could you get an ebook and read aloud?

Pawprintpaper Fri 26-Nov-21 22:35:34

Would you rather game?

Ugzbugz Fri 26-Nov-21 22:36:04

Hotspot off phone to another device to watch a film or does that use to much data confused

Think I would drink wine or go to bed

Yeah I am using data. Live in the deep dark rural Highlands. Hope that answers your question 😊

Ah I thought you had wind up internet sad

Sorry you're having a shit time.

I'd play 'beat the intro' on songs. Play something for 5 seconds and the other person has to guess the song.

TimeForTeaAndG Fri 26-Nov-21 22:41:50

Yes, it does. Hotspot as suggested or go to bed.

ErrolTheDragon Fri 26-Nov-21 22:43:36

Hopefully at this time of night any children are tucked up in bed.
Conserve your phone batteries, and if it's chilly then shared bodily warmth is standard advice isn't it?

AdoraBell Fri 26-Nov-21 22:44:24

Have you got playing cards? Or any board games.

Come on now. It's not 1995 you know 😂😂

Thehogfatherstolemycurry Fri 26-Nov-21 22:46:53

Oh is it bad up there? My dd is in the Highlands and hasn't got my messages this evening so I'm thinking it's affecting her Internet.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry Fri 26-Nov-21 22:47:56

But to answer your question - cards, dominoes, chequers, pictionary.

CricketCat Fri 26-Nov-21 22:50:53

Err. Go to sleep. It’s 10:50. Do you have reindeer heads on your walls?

LooksBetterWithAFaceMask Fri 26-Nov-21 22:52:55

We are in the Highlands too kept thinking the power was going to go at work today.
One of the children thankfully has heaps of data do we could hotspot off him but we tend to go for head torches and boards games.
One power cut we did end up driving all the way to Inverness for WiFi and hot food until dh could get home and dig the camping stove out to make a cup of tea.

fourandtwo Fri 26-Nov-21 23:16:23

To “get you through”?! confused It’s just a peer cut. Go to bed, tomorrow when it’s daylight you can read books or deep clean your bathroom. Hours of fun for all.

GetTheFlockOutOfHere Fri 26-Nov-21 23:27:59

Just play youtube on your phone . We had a power cut earlier, and I just played a youtube mix.

GetTheFlockOutOfHere Fri 26-Nov-21 23:28:38

A youtube mix of music I mean. OR you could watch a film on there. OR watch ITV or BBC player.

Its wild. All roads are blocked. Power lines and internet lines are snapped and down.

Pick a famous person and the other one of you has to guess them by asking you 5 yes or no questions

FolkyFoxFace Sat 27-Nov-21 00:46:38

Spooky stories are my fave in power cuts!

I hope you have wine. grinwine
