wtf, i am in the north west, few hours back the wind picked up like nothing i have heard in years. I tis FIERCE!

Anyone else experiencing it?

It is extremely powerful and quite awe inspiring. The noise is seriously dark and creepy. Went outside and was almost taken off my feet. Trees bent double, howling, etc.

It’s raging outside my house.
I’m NW too.

ShinyMe Fri 26-Nov-21 20:43:12

I hate the bloody wind. It's scary. A few years ago it ripped off half my mum's roof and brought down loads of trees (including 3 huge 200+ year old beech trees that crushed all our walls and electricity and phone lines) - my mum said it sounded like a train ripping through the house. I've been uneasy about the wind ever since.

Wind raging around us here too 😢

ElizabethG81 Fri 26-Nov-21 20:44:11

Also in the NW, I've just driven home and it was terrifying, branches flying everywhere shock

flossie79 Fri 26-Nov-21 20:44:40

Alfiemoon1 Fri 26-Nov-21 20:45:41

NE Scotland here, where the wind actually blew me backwards this afternoon, and it's no better now. Forecast is for getting worse before it gets better 😭
Stay safe . .

EllaPaella Fri 26-Nov-21 20:46:58

North East coast here and my garden wall just collapsed and I only have one remaining fence panel! The lid has been blown clean off our large outdoor storage container. Worrying about the trampoline staying put now! Stay safe everyone.

Bluebellbike Fri 26-Nov-21 20:48:23

Also in NW. Just had to walk through Manchester City Centre.Oxford Road was a wind tunnel of a very ferocious sort. Could hardly stand up.

SisterAgatha Fri 26-Nov-21 20:49:14

YANBU. It doesn’t know where it’s going, what it’s doing, it’s just so unnecessary

WeirdArchitecture Fri 26-Nov-21 20:49:31

it usually gets on the news but possibly cant complete with botswana tonight.

I'm east coast Scotland smack in the middle of the red warning area. There are trees down all over the roads, trampolines and caravans blowing away and loss of power in some of the local towns. The noise is unbelievable.

In the NW too! Poor cat came out of her hiding space and was visibly fighting the wind to make it to the front door. Hall full of leaves, but at least kitty is safe and warm now.

NotMyCat Fri 26-Nov-21 20:50:49

NW here too. Not my cat came and banged on the window for shelter. He's sleeping on my dressing table stool hmm

BingoandBluey Fri 26-Nov-21 20:50:55

We have angered the Gods!

Or they have turned the fan on.

NewlySingle2021 Fri 26-Nov-21 20:50:59

YABU I am a windmill and it's very necessary and reasonable.

grin
I'm also NW. Need to take the dog out later which I'm dreading as it's whipping up round here and I'm picturing us disappearing into the sky like in the Wizard of Oz.

MingeofDeath Fri 26-Nov-21 20:51:30

NE coast here. The wind is raging and the noise from the sea is unbelievable. Still intact .

maggiecate Fri 26-Nov-21 20:53:55

East coast, right in the red zone - it’s so noisy, worse than we got during Hurricane Bawbag and the beast from the east. Really glad the building opposite has just finished some repairs and the scaffolding has gone, I’d be worried it was coming through my windows otherwise.

dworky Fri 26-Nov-21 20:54:24

Bloody selfish & anti-social, it is.

WeirdArchitecture Fri 26-Nov-21 20:54:58

bawbag? grin

NW also, I’m quite sure it is the apocalypse. As such I’m eating all of the chocolate and drinking all of the wine just in case. I’d hate for it to be wasted on zombies and cockroaches.
