I love wearing dresses for work but I’m really struggling to find any online that aren’t mustard yellow or have frills in weird places!!! It’s an office environment so needs to be smart/tailored. MNetters where do you buy dresses for work?

Hawdyerwheesht · 05/08/2021 20:58

MuddyStiletto · 05/08/2021 21:07

Bloody hell, how much (just out of interest) do you lot spend on a dress?
Are you all high earners?
I was going to suggest Asos, but feel a bit silly now Confused

Aprilx · 05/08/2021 21:09

All my work dresses are form Boden.

Sainsburys, John Lewis, Joanie, M&S, phase eight

OwlinaTree · 05/08/2021 21:10

Boden sale. They have pockets!!

DartmoorChef · 05/08/2021 21:11

Peacocks. Very cheap for decent black trousers skirt and a plain t-shirt and cardigan.

LemonRoses · 05/08/2021 21:15

Winser because they do good formal styles in different colours making shopping very easy. Occasionally Hobbs or LK Bennet.
Team meeting, less formal then Boden,, Jigsaw, Whistles,

BuffySummersReportingforSanity · 05/08/2021 21:17

Cos, Jigsaw, Kin, The Fold, &OtherStories, Modern Rarity, occasionally Boden. I don't wear many dresses though. Bought a puff sleeved linen dress at Warehouse recently.

Youarenothere · 05/08/2021 21:18

Reiss, jigsaw, whistles, Cos, Zara, & other stories

Stripyhoglets1 · 05/08/2021 21:18

M and S. Sainsburys. John Lewis.

@MuddyStiletto

I was thinking the same!! A poster said Hobbs, Jigsaw and The Fold for something special. All way out of my budget.

I'm larger and I buy dresses from Yours, Simply Be or Fashion World.

I recently bought a new dress for £45, that's expensive and "special" to me ConfusedSmile

MoiraRose4 · 05/08/2021 21:24

Next, New Look, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, H&M

80sballetgirl · 05/08/2021 21:33

Joe Brown!

AragornsGirl · 05/08/2021 21:36

Popsy! Some wouldn’t be too suitable for a more serious work environment, but they do some simpler designs. And they all have pockets!

Hobbs is always on Brand Alley

ouchmyfeet · 05/08/2021 21:43

I got a lovely nobody's child dress for work on simply be last week. Not expensive at all

MsHedgehog · 05/08/2021 21:43

Karen Millen and Oasis are my go to.

Occasionally Coast will have dresses that are smart enough for work.
