To throw a dart at the hot tub?

NDN's have hired a hot tub for the weekend (something they do semi regularly during the summer). It's only 10 past 7 on day 2 and I'm over it.

Considering an act of sabotage but in fairness the hot tub isn't the actual issue. It's the loud dance music and talking late into the night that is the actual issue.

Previous attempts to politely request a reduced noise level (after midnight) have been met with open hostility and ridicule.

Leave them alone.

maybe wait until they aren't in it?

Sorry forgot my lighthearted disclaimer as I am much too cowed by them to do a single thing.

Don’t do it, obviously.

But, seriously, how satisfying would that be? Like, a very slow puncture knowing that it’ll feel off for a few days as the water drips out.

Blast Slayer or Cannibal Corpse from your garden instead while they're in it. That might do the trick.

No helpful advice, but some people are so fucking selfish and inconsiderate!

If I could do it in the certainty I wouldn't be caught I absolutely would.

Or are you close enough to pour something in it?

Folk music from all your windows. Bonus points if it’s accordion based.

There's No-One Quite Like Grandma on a loop, maximum volume. Then go out.

These are great ideas and pre DS I possibly would have. DH has a fine heavy metal collection. 17 month old DS would be less impressed I feel.

Leave them alone.

Not if they're carrying on well after midnight & refusing to turn it down.

Stink bombs

Maybe tamper with the heater so it's a cold tub. Then wait for them to jump in, expecting hot, bubbly, delight, and run screaming indoors....never to venture outdoors again.

Grandma got ran over by a reindeer on a loop

If they are excessively noisy after 11pm report online to 101 or record and send to environmental health.

Other than that I'm afraid your dart throwing should be away from the hot tub and your neighbours personally! grin

There must be some equally offensive music you can put on at the crack of dawn when your toddler wakes up? They might feel less inclined to party hard next time if they don't get the required recovery time 😂

Light a bonfire, plenty of wet green branches and leaves

I hadn't planned on throwing darts at them. Just the hot tub. Although a mystery neighbour from the other end of my garden did break my window with a BB gun last year. I wonder if they could be bribed...

My toddler ds loved Status Quo op.. Go for it.
Last week I was helping dd do her garden and ndn landed in their tub. Started singing Belinda Carlisle at full belt. Badly.
We couldn't help but giggle.
He went inside!!. blush
Felt a bit bad tbh!!
Are you close enough to throw a huge bath bomb in during the night?

SallyLovesCheese Sat 08-May-21 19:26:48

If you do throw a dart, make sure you tie string to the other end so you can retract it afterwards and there's no evidence!
