Hair colour nightmare, or AIBU? (Pics included)

Hi all Just looking for some opinions on my new hair. Im naturally fairly dark (picture 2 in green dress) and wanted something different. I asked my hairdresser for picture 1 - a balayage. She explained at the beginning of my appointment that she would be using toner to get the colour and as toner is semi-permanent, I can come back in 6-8 weeks and put some more on, or even change the colour of the toner. I was happy with this and as it was my first time with this type of colour, I left her to it. Four hours later and I'm not really happy with the colour. I explain to the hairdresser that it's a bit more orange than I expected and doesn't seem to be blended all that well. She puts more toner on and off I got to see what it looks like at home once I've styled it myself. I get home and I'm not happy at all, particularly with the colours in my fringe and the orangeness. I email the hairdresser and she's sorry I feel that way but explained that because toner fades, my hair will now always end up orange after a few washes. It's inevitable. Obviously I was quite upset to hear this and she reminded me that she did tell me toner was semi-permanent in my appointment, which she did, I just wasn't expecting to have orange hair. She's told me to come back tomorrow to 'try' some more toner but I'm not holding my breath. My husband is telling me it looks fine and he can't see anything wrong, so I guess my question is, am I being unreasonable? Would you be happy with the colour? Any advice on what I can suggest to the hairdresser on how to make it look a bit better?
